Hey guys, I'm sure this has been posted before just wanted to fill you in:

These things look terrible, probably help a little with fuel economy (who cares, this is a truck), and are one of the first things other than the air dam to get ripped off if you go to an OHV park.

Ford does not install them on their off-road oriented trucks like the Tremor, Raptor, etc... They are also deleted out of necessity if you have the extended running boards or power running boards.

Luckily for us that means there is a part number. A year ago these were hard to get but now they seem to be readily available. I fetched them for $15 each with free shipping:

Cool. I have had my truck a little over a year and never noticed those! If they ever get damaged I will definitely replace with the cleaner look.

Thanks for this post, @OP.
It always amazes me, when I look at it, how ugly these "deflectors" are. I wonder how much fuel they really "save".
BTW - I can't really understand what's their purpose, like how do they actually help. If it's really for saving fuel, IMO it actually blocks the air flow.

You never noticed them?? Dude, you're not admiring your truck enough :D

@M4X - Care to share where did you get them with free shipping?
Anywhere I can use Ford Pass points?

Thanks.

I changed mine out a couple of weeks ago. My eyes were automatically drawn to the UGLY flaps eveytime I walked pass my truck. The smooth look is so much better. Nice truck

Mine were destroyed over several trips. I removed them.
Adding welded rock sliders next week. LOL
