Has anyone removed the rear panel under the back window?

I ordered a RCBS. Thinking about mounting a couple MOLLE panels under the rear window for more storage.

Need to know whats back there, but do not have the truck yet.

Storage IS a problem with the RCSB. This is the first Regular Cab I’ve had in decades but my X-cabs always ended up with loads of crap behind the seat so I decided to go RCSB.

I went with the Undercover SE for water proofing & security. They don’t leak a drop and they’re easy to remove if you need to haul large items.

Between the criminal lack of options (I got ALL they offered) and the storage issue, I am SOOOOO GLAD I went with the RCSB!

This damn this is a BLAST (5.0) it turns on a dime, climbs like a mountain goat and I NEVER have a parking issue.

Nice truck.

Talking interior though. Want to mount MOLLE panels behind seats on the back panel.

Need to know what is under the panel. Wires, structure to screw into, etc.

That’s not my truck. It’s a stock image of the tonneau.

I haven’t had the back panel off yet but there are usually support rails you can attach to with short screws. I’d pull the carpet off & check.

There ain’t much room back there though so I’m not sure MOLLE panels are going to be of much use.

If you do end up going that route and find that it IS of use, please post pictures. I (and I’m sure other RCSB owners) would be interested to see it.

I work in a hospital
I took the rear panel off today held in by 3 push pins in the top once their out it just comes out freely. I actually took it out for better sound from the exhaust.
