I've read through this whole thread and I don't see the Forscan changes necessary for updating once everything is up to date in FDRS. Do these changes need to be kept top secret? I can't imagine we all have to bother @rugedraw to accomplish this, or do we?
It's no bother. The gurus that figure stuff out and fix stuff have better things to do.

Have it, didn't keep up with a weak 12v battery for extended updates. There's plenty of times where the truck will pull more than 20A during multi-module updates FYI.
oh damn. I got really lucky then. I was updating for around 3-4 hours but didn't run into any problems. Whew.

Thanks for the reply. I don't really understand though. It's not like this information would allow someone to steal BlueCruise, for example. We purchased the hardware, and either have a free trial or have to pay for the privilege. I would like more of a reason than Ford doesn't like it. There's a lot of information on this forum that helps with updating BC but then the last little bit is held back (due to Ford). I'm not sure they have a valid reason to censor the details. There is lots of detailed information on various Forscan settings for many other items, what is different about the BC settings? Others have already pointed out the dealers probably won't do this upgrade for us, and may not even know how to do it. Many of us, myself included, say some negative things about Ford from time to time on this forum, and we just found out they aren't going to monitor it any longer. Are we going to make decisions due to "Ford won't like this"?

Also, can you clarify Ford's role in this forum? Are they a sponsor and would going against them cause problems for the operation of the forum?

Tbh, I wipe my ass with Ford and what they think about what we do on this or any forum. The reason it is not posted publicly is because the people that figured out how to enable this don't want it to be posted publicly. If they did, it would be on the common tab of the FORScan spreadsheet. Reasons why? Maybe they don't want the liability of someone enabling a driver assist feature, getting into an accident and then blaming it on them? Or, perhaps it is just easier to manage any damage control that may come from people making the changes incorrectly and messing up their truck when this is done on a case-by-case basis. Or to avoid people making changes without having the right software in place and causing issues.

So, for over a year now, these changes have been shared amongst ourselves between ourselves and it has worked out just fine the way we're doing it.

Forscan will give better results. I'm just saying. 😁

You're going to enjoy 1.4 if you drive on decent Bluecruise roads.
You'll LOVE 1.4 if you are using it on well marked Bluecruise roads with medium to light traffic.

Not all Bluecruise enabled circumstances are the same. But 1.4, at least in my 2022, is fantastic on long runs of interstate 10. And I have done considerable miles at night, and they are the best.

Ford F-150 Quest for BlueCruise 1.4 on 2022 Powerboost 1729146932836-wu
This forum is awesome and the support given by the group is excellent ! I especially want to thank @rugedraw for his patience answering all my frequent questions and @Khal for starting this thread as they both were the motivating factor in me buying the mongoose adapter and the special battery tendor needed !
I also want to thank @Snakebitten for his support and motivation !
I have completed the FORSCAN chnages and all the updates for Blusecruise 1.4
I love the lane change assist feature it works awesome.
I have enabled the in lane repositioning feature per attached screen shot but to date do not see it working and also I have enabled the predictive speed assist, I assume they are both working ? Can anyone elaborate how the lane repositioning looks when it is active ? maybe post a picture of what it looks like and the predictive speed ?

My favorite comment of yours is "This forum has made me love my 2021 power boost more than any other vehicle I have owned!"

Forums, by nature, are populated by folks that aren't enjoying their vehicle to it's best potential. And with a Powerboost, that's a real shame, considering how unique and amazing the platform is.

So good for you.

You'll see what lane repositioning is like as soon as you find yourself uncomfortably close and right beside some 48' trailer that is crowding the line enough to make you reposition yourself. And then you'll realize that the IPMA agrees with you and your truck will "bias" it's position away from the trailer. It might not be enough to satisfy, depending on how close the adjacent truck is to you. But it will be obvious that the driver's assist reacted to the encroachment.

It's amazing that Ford doesn't do their due diligence and make sure that they don't send their previous customers software updates with no respect for our Asbuilt modifications. 🙄🤣🤣
