I didn't have time to mount, but I went ahead and replaced the new trailer plug. It took a little figuring, but I got all the cable connections together. (Had a couple with caps that threw me for a loop.

Anyway I pluged in the camera and it worked great. Kind of needed to get that out of the way before mounting which will probably be the biggest headache.

One thing of note: When I replaced my trailer plug with the one they give you in the kit, I plugged in my trailer to see if there were issues and there was a small one. When changing to trailer/haul mode, it wouldn't accept my trailer profile I had installed. It would only come up default. My profile was in there, but the brake settings got grayed out. Not sure why

Turned out not to be a big deal. I created a new trailer profile and that one took. Maybe disconnecting the trailer plug caused some memory to get lost. I don't know.

Besides finding and mounting a spot on the trailer, I think this project will be a little easier than I thought. Granted I haven't tested the TPMS modules yet.

Same here. I used a kit whose part number was for a Super Duty. I managed to find a new reasonable priced YAW sensor on eee bay.

Got everything done but getting sensors in the tires. Heading to a shop on Monday to have that done.

I'm a little disappointed in the picture quality of the camera. Can definitely see a difference compared to the truck cameras. Granted I guess since it won't be used as much, Ford didn't think it was worthwhile putting in the same camera.

Some folks complain about this and / or the lack of built-in lighting / 'night vision'.

But IME the cam serves well for its intended purpose and my trailer's backup lights provide adequate illumination for night backing / obstacle avoidance.

I sure do love having TPMS and trailer cam integrated in the truck's displays, no more cab-clutter with aftermarket stuff! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. (y) :)

I agree. The price was steep, but to not to need to have other screens for the camera and TPMS systems is nice.
