Hello all. looking at a 2022 XLT with 4k miles its the dealers courtesy vehicle. has anybody ever purchased a courtesy vehicle, would this still be labeled as new. looking to make the dealer a offer just not sure what % off of sticker would be a reasonable offer.

In late 2020 we bought an Expedition that was used as a courtesy vehicle. 2k miles on it and we paid 25% less than sticker. I was happy with the deal then and still happy to this day. As far as label, ours was labeled as new. Hope this helps.

I did a bmw 535 courtesy vehicle at 20% off sticker but lease residual was as new, so it was a smoking lease deal.

It’ll be interesting to see how much they are dealing on MY22 with lower inventory?

I probably wouldn't. IMO it is like buying a rental car.

we looked at a 2022 edge titanium elite LOADED
x plan was 44 and some change it had 6k miles on it, the owner was the primary driver
they would not come any lower than x plan.. which i am eligible for anyway
in my mind 6k miles on a 22 they should be near 42K .
we passed, why should i pay full price for a 6k mile car?
the car was very clean, but you could tell it had a good bit of ass time in the drivers seat
its still sold as NEW and has full warranty minus the miles at time of sale

4k miles on a loaner...thats IMO like buying a rental and we all know how they are driven

Hello, Update, window sticker was 62,725 -5,942=56,783 that was there discount and they said they would go down another couple hundred bucks to a thousand so 55,783 is there price. For that price or close to it can get a new one. i see some ford dealers are discounting 5k off sticker, so i will wait. thank you to all that responded.

Not a bad price at all if it's under 5K miles. The only things to look out for on a service loaner vehicle when you buy one is ensuring there are no damages to the paint/body, they change the oil when you buy it, and resetting the transmission adaptive tables. The last one you can do with Forscan in about 2 min. The reason for the reset is the transmission will likely have developed some odd shifting behavior and resetting it will take care of that.
