I think it is that the message is general and could be for several reasons. Some may not be serious and others could. They gave me a loaned and will repair under warranty. Doesn’t bother me that they have the truck. Better than the truck being dead on side of the road.

I had this on my 22 and they replaced a solenoid of some sort and the problem was resolved.

Thanks…if I could buy it and put it myself I would! Dealer told me I am looking at late March to get my truck back. 5 other PB trucks came into my dealer for this exact issue after I dropped mine off according to my service advisor.
Is your truck the PB model or gas engine? I've now got an appointment this week as my battery is now giving me the remote features disabled...message after getting the Power mal. issue the other day.

I had the Powertrain Manlfunction/Reduced power light come on one time. I took my truck in for two other recall issues. It's been there for a week, was told they need to put a starter in the truck to fix the malfunction light. Surprised by that. Starting the second week in the shop but no word as to what is going on. A little frustrated that I didn't get a loaner even after purchasing the extended warranty.

I have the Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced power message on my App as well as the wrench icon. My truck is a 22 5.0. The dealership called me back and they can’t find the issue.. mentioned something about checking the wiring and wanted me to leave it for several days. Anyone else had this happen with the 5.0?

Mine just came on today. 22 5.0. Just got an update last night too. Not sure if associated.

I first noticed the problem earlier this month when the truck wouldn't go into electric mode and the Powertrain Malfunction warning appeared. The problem then went away so I ignored it, but it came back again accompanied with Remote Features Disabled and so I decided to take it to my dealer. He quickly diagnosed the problem and told me there was a TSB for it. They replaced the auxiliary battery isolator and reprogrammed the PCM. After I picked the truck up I'm still getting the low battery issue - hopefully it will go away after fully charging the battery.

I had my truck completely die on me on the highway. App gave me the powertrain malfunction warning and an electric powertrain malfunction. Was able to restart after a couple of try’s and went straight back home. Have it booked for Monday when the hybrid tech is in. I’m hoping they find something as my trust in the truck is greatly diminished at this point

I get this same message every few days, typically around the same spot in the road. It isn’t every time, and I do get it at other random times too. I’d say about 50% of the time is within a mile of my house on my way home from work about two times a week or so. Same DTC, no actual performance issue that I notice, and it clears on key cycle.

First time to the dealer, they programmed the PCM and sent me on my way. Second time to the dealer, they claimed the clutch pressure sensor was bad and replaced it. I’m scheduled for my next appointment next week, as the issue is still happening. Given how quickly they claimed the sensor was bad, I’m wondering if they really took the time to go through all the changes to their workshop manual. Granted, being that they are sending out TSBs related to DTC P084B, I’m guessing Ford is seeing this happen a lot more recently and it isn’t just a sensor going bad. We’ll see what they “find” next week.

My Power Boost has been at the dealership for 21 days now. No word when the starter/generator part will arrive. The dealership did give me a loaner.

How much longer will those of us who are waiting for the "starter/alternator" part number ML3Z*11A213*B be without our trucks. My F150 PowerBoost has been in the shop for nearly a month now waiting for this part.

So ridiculous.
Ford has access to the component, obviously. But no desire to re-route any of them to the after-sale support.

It's shameful
