Had the truck 2 months. Brand new. For the 3rd time I got the error “ Stop Safely Now” and no start. Little battery under rear seat was hot. Battery in engine was hot. Drove to dad’s house no 2 tenths a mile away and started fine. Went to leave and got the errors. Started with app after trying key, remote start and the app after about 15 minutes. No error given on app or dash when it wouldn’t start. I know many others have had this issue but like the first two times there were not any codes given. What have others found to be an issue? My dealer has yet to come up with a solution the first two times and I’m sure when I go there in the morning it will be the same frustrating thing.

I was among the first to post about this issue. After the second trip to the dealer, they replaced the 12v battery because it “tested marginal enough” and the next 1500 miles were trouble free until I traded it over other issues.

It’s hard to regain trust in a vehicle after a no start, though. Ford should be a lot more proactive about replacing batteries and maybe offering extended warranties for folks who are experiencing this. Even a 15 minute no start is “stranded” in my opinion.

This issue has certainly been reported by a rash of 2023 trucks. And seems to be increasingly very new ones.

Really curious about what will eventually be revealed is the cause. Is it software, or a faulty component?

As for the definition of stranded, I must have said something previously that may have irked someone. It wasn't my intention. :)

My 2021 platinum pb same problem around 16,000 miles and dealer unable to find problem. Until, 55.500 make trip to Florida and second time happened and this time my truck no start at all and tow to dealer covered by Ford warranty. My car seat at dealer 3 months for diagnostic and they replaced battery behind the rear seat and hybrid batteries under vehicle. I think the power boot same at my.

My dealer in Knoxville has had the truck almost a month. They haven’t resolved the issue yet. Mine was a 22 with 16,000 miles. Trouble free before that. All I know is that so far they changed a battery control module and later a junction box.
My dealer is really terrible at communicating and so I have really no idea what’s going on or why those two repairs have taken a month and why it’s still not resolved.

I have had this happen to me once and when I checked my battery voltage it was under 12v. I charged the battery and it worked fine. I think there is a steady parasitic drain on these trucks unfortunately as has been described by many others which just depletes the battery unless driving for greater then 30 minutes at a time.

My morning commute is 30 minutes and on the way home it’s about 50. I do a daycare pickup on the way home. Usually leave truck on for the five minutes it takes me to pick up my son, which is at the midpoint of the commute home. It should have ample time to charge given those conditions. My battery under the hood was at 12.3 when the No start condition occurred.

Ha ha.... Yeah, still putting around in the GMC. ;) Drove it to Ford's Garage (ironic, right?) for lunch today. Met up with a nephew and his son. They just flew in from Dallas.
