Wonder how much further Livernois plans to go with their PB tune?
Did not realize they had cracked it, but based on a light read they aren’t fudging with the electric components *yet*

As many have eluded too, provided Ford doesn’t intentionally ruin it, the next revision of the PB has shame producing potential for half ton pickup competition.

Is this something people actually care about? One F150 powertrain being a fraction of a second faster than another? Let's just settle this the old fashion way, who has a tape measure?
I drive a fwd escape as my daily. I win!

One of these days, I'll be next to a raptor at a stop light, with no traffic or police around.. And watch it disappear in the rearview.
Better hope it doesn’t have the 5.2L under the hood . Beware of the code orange!

On paper the Powerboost should have the edge, all things equal.

At the risk of oversimplification, they both bring whatever the 3.5 Ecoboost brings, and then add the ~70+ ftlbs of electric "boost" at 1 RPM.

Of course there's a lot of torque management software strategy in play and I suspect Ford left more on the table with the Powerboost than they did on the Ecoboost sans the battery.

Tuners have been revealing how conservative Ford is with the oem strategy for many years now.

Oh, it's quite possible.

I'd love to see a tuned PB vs stock and tuned 3.5 Raptor as well

Truth is, my grandad and dad both would be stunned by either truck and they wouldn't differentiate them the way we are. They'd argue that they both have the same motor and we have lost our minds. 😂
I'm guessing they'd also be upset with us for not having eight cylinders!

If you're going to be dethroned in the land of stop lights, at least it's to a beast powered by the GT500 whose price rivals that of used ferraris.

Did they test in sport mode? All I know is that my PB is faster in sport than my EB was in sport. The truck has a real kick. It's less evident in normal mode.

I owned a 21 PB and currently own a 21 Tremor.
Both launched in auto4WD with the rear diff locked and the nannies off, the PB is faster.

From PB to a tremor? How'd that happen?

Leave it to @HammaMan to bring up the obvious.... Rear end ratio. The PB is gonna have a 3.73 while we aren't told what the EB has, maybe a 3.55? That could be the diff right there. But when we are seeing a tenth of a second difference.... What are we even talking about?
