I read the somewhere a battery the size of the powerboost would equal 48 Hp and close to 100-130 ft lb of torque, my estimate will be 425 hp and 570 ft lb, maybe 600 ft lbs.

They are stating best HP / TRQ in its class therefor it would have to beat the Chev 6.2 with 420HP. So I would say 425HP-450HP over 500 Trq. I would be happy with that. :)

Isn't it crazy that Ford still hasn't published power / towing or EPA figures yet? I mean they start production on these in less than two months and will be selling them in about 3. Just amazed that they are still holding these cards to the vest. ?

The numbers will be very impressive, so why not go BIG and go PUBLIC to generate some more excitement about the Gen14 F-150. I just don't get it.

If you want to gather interest and excitement for your new product, go big. 497 Hp 590 FT lbs.
The limited already has the 450 HP ecoboost, you won't be best in class unless you beat that number.
Would be a Monster!

I think it’s going to be 450 HP or more...I’m hoping for 500. It blew the doors off that ram that has 395 hp and 410 torque

Yeah, I liked that video but that is more torque than hp doing that. That was a pretty heavy load they were both pulling.

I read where the 35 kw electric motor equates to almost 40 hp. Even if Ford is able to squeeze more out of a 35 kw motor I don't see it getting anywhere near that. It will however really raise the torque, just how much?

I'm with you on that! but it is actually about 5 weeks or less before they start production. Mine is already scheduled for 26 Oct and I still don't know the specs, but I know it will be more than what my 18 was.

The hybrid EcoBoost in the Lincoln Aviator generates 494 HP and 630 ft/pds torque at 3 liters displacement so it will definitely not be less than that. I believe the F150 variant will be 3.5 liters so I'm guessing they squeeze another 15 ponies (over 500) and 650 foot pounds torque. The current HO 3.5 is 450/510 and I doubt the new mill will be less as that makes no sense to me.

Agreed... Not sure what the big deal is other than last minute tuning... Every other competitor has released full 2021 engine details so it's not like they are waiting for some competitive edge. I hope this doesn't indicate they used the non EcoBoost engine and are frantically trying to tweak more power from it (which would be almost impossible without turbos to tweak boost). Very strange indeed that they are taking orders for an engine with no public details yet... Given Ford's dire economic state their continued existence almost entirely depends on this the F150 so they better not botch the launch like they did with the Explorer.

What we do know and what has been released by Ford is, it will be a 3.5 EcoBoost non-HO motor.

They only thing I can think of for a reason for the slow specs release, is not to greatly effect the sell of the year end inventory of 2020 models. Even that is a stretch in my mind but the China virus has pushed everything back a couple of months.

I've had a question on that for which I haven't been able to find an answer. Which EcoBoost will the Limited have? The High Output 3.5 (like the 2020 currently has) or the non-HO 3.5? Does anyone know?

Everything I've read shows the PowerBoost with the regular 3.5 eco motor. The limited may still come with the HO in a non-PowerBoost configuration.

I just had the opportunity to view a preproduction Hybrid XLT and speak with the Ford Rep. He was very professional and spoke candidly, lots of interesting information we spoke about.
All I can say is be excited. The hybrid is not just hype.

Cheers

Maybe not the place to place this comment, (I don't do this often) but the interior was awesome even in the XLT trim. That screen is amazing and the work console was pretty awesome.
The tailgate was the new work surface and was awesome to view. Then he showed me the 7.2 kw size generator outlets.
The numbers we are looking for should be out in a week or two.
Honestly was a treat to see in person.

Cheers
