Ok thankyou!I believe it’s 30.6 gal
Ok thankyou!Per Ford’s 2021 Technical Specifications for the F-150, the PowerBoost will have its own proprietary fuel tank with a capacity of 30.6 gallons.
I am pretty certain it is because of the battery. It’s size encroaches on the area where the fuel tank normally is. The F-150s use a long, thin tank that runs longitudinal/front to rear.I am not sure why they had to have a tank size specific to only the Powerboost trucks. Maybe it is a weight thing or different shape to accommodate the hybrid system components.
I'm thinking that's why. For reason I was think it had 36 gallon like my 2016 had. Dealer filled truck earlier today it showed range of 450 miles on ford pass app.I am not sure why they had to have a tank size specific to only the Powerboost trucks. Damn! I am used to filling and seeing the projected range be 720 or more. Hope to get similar from my powerboost.I'm thinking that's why. For reason I was think it had 36 gallon like my 2016 had. Dealer filled truck earlier today it showed range of 450 miles on ford pass app.
The PowerBoost has been heralded by Ford as having an estimated range of “greater than 700 miles”. Now that some PowerBoosts are making their way out into the wild, we shall see soon!Damn! I am used to filling and seeing the projected range be 720 or more. Hope to get similar from my powerboost.
Yeah I was too. I'm waiting on make ready now at dealer when they are done I will reset odometer and see if it increases.Damn! I am used to filling and seeing the projected range be 720 or more. Hope to get similar from my powerboost.
Oh! From my experience, the projected DTE seems to be a rolling average of your most recent 300-500 miles or so. So that truck likely has had only ~15mpg in its young life. That seems to be what others are reporting during the breakin period.Yeah I was too. I'm waiting on make ready now at dealer when they are done I will reset odometer and see if it increases.
It must be the range has increased quite alot by driving 60 miles. Pretty impressive mileage! Average according to computer 22 so far.Oh!
