Powerboost full door pull string?

Another thread reported that there is a lip that it slips under but it isn't contained very securely by the lip. Mine is contained behind the wheel well liner.

There is a body hole in the wheel well, I slipped it through there.

Mine slipped out too. No big deal... Nice that there is a manual release.

I taped mine too the wheel well liner. Used blue electrical tape easy to find if needed.

That set-up would never work in the climate I'm in. Huge wheel well turds are common in Minnesota during winter.

Why does a non locking fuel door have an emergency string to open it? You just open it since it's not locked.

The PowerBoost fuel door locks.

You have to press a button on the dash, pull the tampon string, or use the little plastic 'prybar' that is stored with the jack to open it.

Oh! Well OK then. I guess I've never known anyone with a PowerBoost, or even seen one.

I wonder why the PowerBoost locks but the regular gas one doesn't?
