Mines in the shop now being serviced. Took about two weeks for the part.

Crossing fingers the leak will stay fixed.
It's beginning to sound like the supply has just about caught up with the demand for this part.

My truck has been at the dealership for over 2 months now. I called for an update yesterday and the service advisor checked with the parts department and said the part just came off of backorder, so fingers crossed they receive it soon.

I stopped by a few weeks ago and my truck had bird crap all over it and the steering wheel had turned a chalky white from baking in the hot sun. Hopefully the clear coat isn't etched from all the bird droppings. I know I'm not alone in this, but what a frustrating situation.

20/20 hindsight, but too bad you didn't put in a windshield sun shade.

Anyway, same deal here, just different state at a different time of year, therefore, different problems. I'm sure you noticed your Ford app telling you the truck was going into deep sleep because the 12 volt battery was losing its charge. I had to call my sales rep a couple of times and have him go into the lot and fire it up for a few minutes. I even went there a couple of times myself and jumped it on my own. They ended up having to charge it before I picked it up. The other issue was underside surface rust. After only 37 days it had a lot of it. When I got the truck back, I went to a place that offered rust removal and an oil-based undercoating. $400 and a lifetime guarantee and well worth it. Can you imagine the trucks on chip hold this winter sitting in a Dearborn parking lot for who knows how long?

I was lucky that mine only sat there for 2 weeks, unlucky that it was covered in multiple layers of ash then light rain then ash from wildfires. First thing I did when I got home was wash it and at least it hadn't been long since it was waxed.

This is a truck that had been parked from 4/21 to almost 10/21 on a chip hold before I purchased it new, and showed signs of being exposed to the elements from that. Since I owned it it never sat outside at home or work, but now it'll need some love again when I get it back.

My truck was in deep sleep a long time ago and quit responding altogether as of 8/26.

Glad you were able to get it back relatively fast. Its been long enough now for me, that mine will feel new all over again, when the day finally comes...lol!

Damn. A 6-month chip hold? What trim level is it? King Ranch or higher?

Nope, just a 302a. I had ordered one very similarly equipped except with the 6.5' bed that was also stuck on a chip hold. Came across this one for $8k off and jumped on it and settled for the short bed. Long story short, she's been a bit of a problem child. '23 Tremor on order with a 10/24 build week, but really, who knows. I'll be glad to get this one back and enjoy it for a little bit before I sell or trade it.

Congrats to @DB63 , @wayni , @VRF201 and @jeepin95 for getting your repairs. Let me know if I misread your info.

@DB63 - you have the record on the board now for longest wait for a drivable repair - 183 days.

@wayni - I think you have your "Told dealer" date as 9/23, I saw that your repair was before that date and assumed the Told Dealer date was really 8/23 - let me know if that needs to be changed.

@Jloyd98 - I hope yours comes in soon. Keep us posted.

I just got back from a 3k trip to Wyoming and back and no leaks! I did take 2 gallons of coolant mix with me just in case...

Mines in the shop now being serviced. Took about two weeks for the part.

Crossing fingers the leak will stay fixed.
So far so good (crossing fingers).
Took them a day to replace it. Went in 9/21 (drop off) and got back next day afternoon.
Part # ML3Z 5A212 W

According to the ticket they pressure tested the system after replacement and held 21 psi for 1 hour.

So I don't know if that helped or not?

Pretty sure I’m leaking again. Screw this damn truck.
Sorry to hear this - 3300 miles on first leak, 4200 on 2nd. How many miles on the truck now?

9500.

Apparently they have a new/different fix now though and my dealer told me the parts should be in Thursday.

I gotta admit that if the fix from here on forward is going to be measured in days rather than months, the whole fiasco becomes less than a fiasco, in my mind.
That changes almost everything.

Sure am curious though what this new fix is.
Looking forward to what you discover and hope this IS behind you soon.

I'm wondering if a faulty heat exchanger is still the culprit.
