No way of knowing for sure, but I wouldn't consider it related. Rather one of those random unexplained overnight parasitic draw-downs that you may never know the reason.

Now if it becomes something you have to battle often for now on, that'll be different.

There's a really inexpensive Bluetooth battery monitor that is being tested by a few fellas in the Battery Management thread. It's a fantastic little tool and you can see monitor your battery SOC without even waking it up or touching the truck. And it is continuously logging the battery while the truck is supposedly asleep.

If you already had it on your truck last night, you could look at the graph and see on the timeline what occurred and when.

Takes 3 minutes to install.
The draw is tiny. About .1 amp

This device may be worth looking into. Fairly inexpensive , so if you're not happy with it, not a big loss. Always difficult to get new purchases approved without multiple groveling before the Minister of Finance.

I received mine driving to the Outer Banks. I'm thinking my truck didn't like the process as I was getting repeated "trailer brake system fault" popups for few miles (not pulling a trailer, never have). I stopped for provisions and acknowledged the update...it never showed again when I completed my journey.

No. i believe this will fix the Fordpass lack of communication issues.

I cant say 100% that it is without issues but those I havew heard from have not reported issues.

The only issues were from a dealer not knowing what they were doing

Ran a few errands earlier and after a few mins of being back home, my Ford Pass app alerted me I was updated to 4.2.1. Had the truck a month now and this the first update I’ve seen.

Got the prompt today and cancelled the install.
I kinda agree with @RickBullotta and @Big Dog Daddy ... If you're truck is running fine and you aren't lacking anything, don't install it.
As a Systems Engineer, far too many times have I seen people rush to get "latest greatest" and then their laptop, phone... whatever gives them problems.
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"...
Except for that weird speaker thing last week, my truck is flawless. Love it.
If you are hoping to resolve an issue by all means get the updates which sounds like it will gateway other updates.
As for early access, I don't know if my truck is signed up for that or not, only owned it for a couple weeks.
