I like to super charge my phone with the plug in outlet.

Today, I noticed it wasn’t charging and the light on both front and back outlets is blinking.

Is this a known issue? Anyone have problems with this?

This is the buggiest vehicle I’ve ever owned. Constant gremlins like this.

The DC / AC inverter has a self-protection feature for the following conditions:

NOTE: The DC/AC inverter will cease AC output if there is a fault on the LEDs in the outlet or if the LED is not detected as present.

  • Short circuits on the inverter output circuits: The inverter shuts down if it detects a short on the output circuit(s). After 6 seconds, it restarts and checks for a short condition. If the condition still exists, the inverter shuts down again. The inverter restarts 5 times and if the short still exists on the 5th restart, the inverter disables AC output and the amber LED indicator flashes.
  • Low voltage input: The inverter does not operate when the input voltage is less than 11 volts (excluding Start and Stop events).
  • High voltage input: The inverter does not operate when the input voltage is greater than 16 volts.
  • Load exceeds the maximum limit allowed while in Drive
  • Load exceeds 400 watts (engine running, in Park)
  • High temperature: The inverter does not operate if it has overheated or if ambient (cabin) temperatures exceed 75 C (167 F).

If the self-protection feature is activated, the LED indicator flashes and the DC / AC inverter does not provide power output to the AC outlets. If the LED is flashing, the problem must be corrected before DC / AC inverter operation resumes.

It might be worth checking the connection mentioned in TSB 23-2367 to see if there's any corrosion or damage as mentioned in the TSB.

@SALEEN961 do you think it could be a low voltage issue with my battery? I’ve noticed it says “shutting down to save battery” on the main screen sometimes.

A weak battery could be the cause of your issue. If your battery voltage drops below 11.0V for more than 20 seconds, the DC/AC inverter and a few other things are turned off until the BCM sees a voltage greater than 12.4V for at least 60 seconds.

Just letting you know and others, this new H8 AGM battery seemed to have solved this issue as well as number of others. Including the passenger door not unlocking on contact, cab lights/bed lights not working. Unfortunately, now the auto-stop is working again so I need to disable that noise.
