I'm sure I'll be in violation of some DOT standard, but is it possible to disable or simply disconnect the amber corner markers in the factory projector LED headlights? I'm not a huge fan of the combination of crisp white DRLs and low/high beams mixed with the amber color. I also kind of feel like the DRLs themselves do a pretty good job of "marking" the corner of the vehicle. Any ideas?

I like the amber marker light looks similar to the marker light on the latest Interceptor. I never noticed that was also the side marker on the projector LED. I thought the side marker was the same as the reflector LED and Halogen lamp.

Those are park lamps. I don't really know if you can get rid of them completely, but look at this line in the BCM module. That could possibly remove them when the DRL's are on.

DRL_IncludeParklamps_Cfg (DRLIPC)

726-38-01 xxxx xxxx x*-- 0 = DRLIPC DISABLE 1 = DRLIPC ENABLE

You can make them DRLs in combo with the C lights. I've done it before....but you can't completely disable them.

Interesting. But don't the yellow amber middle horizontal lines in the headlights turn on with the low beam?

Yea, I haven't looked, but "0 disable" may be the default value for DRL's.

Yes, I was just saying that the OP had options on the DRLs but beyond that, I am not sure you can get rid of them.

So if the front Park lights can be controlled independently from other lights in the headlight, could it just be as simple as disconnecting two wires from the harness into the headlight?

A) Would this throw a code?

B) Does anybody have the wiring diagram showing the pinout?

C) Is there a control module within the sealed headlight housing that would preclude this solution?
