Lol sorry dude. It’s actually pretty bad.I CANNOT UNSEE THE CARPET NOW!!! Why did you all point that out?!
I’ll drink to that. Here here! ?Lol sorry dude. It’s actually pretty bad.
That’s a 2021 XLT Sport. The only reason it caught my eye is because I have very similar carpet in my 2018 XLT and not only is mine smoother, upon closer inspection, the one in the picture actually does look thinner/cheaper than mine.
Since I’ve owned a Ford and have been dubiously studying the 2021 F150 since last summer it seems that they have a tendency of spreading themselves way too thin.
I understand it’s all business and you have to pump out as much as you can to maximize profits.
But maybe once in a while, like maybe perhaps when you’re rolling out a very anticipated new model, put a little more effort into the quality control department and shock the world in a more positive light instead of all this crap, big or small, that were all discussing. I know there’s some Ford employees on these forums, definitely more than we know.
I hope one of you slugs reads this and reports that 2021 should be the year that you focus on function and usability instead of coming up with new and exciting ideas that might not even work properly for a little while.
My biggest gripe with Ford is that my 2018 has the frozen door lock issue. An issue that has been around since at least 2011.
And when your loyal customers came to you for help you fought them in court and tried to prove that they were wrong and you didn’t owe them shit.
I have noticed that a lot too, and am worried about it on my truck. I've seen dealer photos with these issues everywhere in the leather interiors including seat bottoms, seat backs, and steering wheels.Personally, the quality issue that catches my eye is a lot of puckering in the leather seats across the models and in many of the posted pictures. You would think the upolestery job would be flawless on these trucks. Here is one example:
