That is also possible. Click on the Lightning subforum and you will see the Watch button.

Thanks. Already did that. Is there a way to only get “Lightning” threads when I press “what’s new”?

I’d prefer it to be its own website, but I see the argument that it’s still a Gen14 at heart.

maybe there’s a way to split the “Recent Posts” header into two, fossil and battery

I'm pretty much with @ChasingCoral on this. While I do have a 2020 F150, it's a known commodity for me. I'm mostly here for the lightning stuff. It'd be nice is the ICE F150 people could select just ICE forums with the "what's new" click and the F150 Lightning folks could do the same with the BEV forum. And the oddballs among us could leave it as is.

Sounds like a lot of forum coding work to me though.

I selected ignore on the F150 Mach-e subforum and it did not remove the Lightning threads from the "latest, hottest, newest, most viewed threads...?

Is there another way to filter the EV noise from my user experience?

It has an entirely different :

Frame

Transmission

Suspension(independent rear)

Powerplant

The marketing team at Ford has really succeeded if you think the Lightning is gen 14 just like the ICEs

"but bro, they share dem accessories." Well, 15-20 f150s share many accessories too, and they have their own forum.

This is a function we're looking into.

If someone can find a way to only watch the Lightning Forum in the "What's New" or maybe add a Lightning tab to the top of the page, then I think a subforum is better than a separate forum.

Pros for Subforum:
  • Provides easy access to all the other F-150 discussions
  • Lightning is a Gen14, so many parts are common with ICE F-150s
  • Provides better access to experience of other F-150 owners
  • Keeps exposing ICE-F150 owners to the electrified option, promoting vehicle electrification

Are you still actively working on a way to separate out the coal burners from the liquid fueled trucks? It’s really starting to clutter up the latest posts feature.

I voted to leave it as a subforum.

There are a lot things about the F150 EV that are common with all F150's.

An example, I asked about lowering the F150EV, something the other F150 owners knew about and could about comment from experience.

Flip side as the F150EV gets out there, the F150EV owners can talk to the regular F150 owners about how the EV could fit their pick up truck usage.

?

This is nonsense.

The Lightning has just as much in common with the f150 as it does with the f250.

Think about it people. Powertrain, transmission, frame, differential, suspension............ Nothing is the fucking same.
Seats are the same
on some models the dash and instrumentation are the same
other cab features are the same
same bed as the PowerBoost hybrid
most 2021 supercrew cab 5.5' bed external accessories will work on both
same tailgate (see thread about bed step)

That's a lot of nothing.

Yes. This feature will be coming for sure. Likely this week or next.

I can keep adding:

Weight Scale on the Bed will be the same
Driving Modes will be the same
Towing Questions will be the same
360 Degree Camera is the Same
BlueCruise will be the same
Co-Pilot 2.0 will be the same
Leveling questions will be the same
Wheel/tire choices will be the same
Twin Panel Moonroof will be the same
B&O Sound system will be the same

What else?
