Looks like somebody's marketing department has an internet team...
Bro what kind of exhaust do you have on that beast. Digging the low tones.
I'm not trying to take a stand either way on aftermarket mods. This video is pure gold. After watching all the trolls/know-it-all internet super mechanics get on this forum and tell folks that Ford engineers are the best intake, muffler, header, etc... designers in the universe, and nothing you install on your truck will increase its performance, you provide straight f-ing facts that prove those pussy-willow's are wrong.
God bless you, Mr Boom.
Agreed, but the way that we achieve statistically reliable unbiased results is by having individuals, not companies, aggregate data on sites like this one.I'm not trying to take a stand either way on aftermarket mods.
But if anyone thinks that a 2% variance on a sample of 1 with the test run 1 times means something, then they do not understand engineering and design or verification.
Minimum, run before and after tests multiple times on each of multiple vehicles in multiple different dyno machines, before deciding something is statistically "real".
A sample of 1 with promising results only indicates further investigation is needed. Statistically it randomly could have just as well shown a 10hp decrease in 1 test.
In the vast majority of late model applications , a cold air intake will do very little or actually hurt power. OE manifold and intake design has progressed significantly in the past decade. Outside of headers, you’re not looking at a significant power gains from basic bolt-ons.This video is pure gold. Is this a PMAS for a 2019-2020 model? If so was it a direct fit with no modifications needed?
Direct fit yes. And one of the plugs need capped. I mention it in the videoIs this a PMAS for a 2019-2020 model? If so was it a direct fit with no modifications needed?
Which plug needs to be capped and what did you cap it with?Direct fit yes. And one of the plugs need capped. I mention it in the video
