Looking for some input on lariat vs platinum seat comfort. I am looking at 23s so none have the massage seats. Are the platinum seats significantly more comfortable or will I not really miss anything if I go for the lariat?

I believe the platinum is actual leather, and not just "leather trimmed" like the lariat. I haven't found one bit of real leather on the seats of my lariat, leading me to believe the piping is likely the only real leather.

So I have a 22 Platinum and I personally think the driver's seat is extremely uncomfortable. It would be nice, but right in the center it's like they forgot about quality of the foam so it's super thin/not firm and you feel all the springs and computers right under your butt. There's specifically one in the crotch region that drives me insane! I've taken it to the dealer and they say everything is normal. The passenger seat is not the same. It's super comfy! The only difference i can find is a small piece of plastic that on the passenger side and not in the driver's side. 🤷

The plastic webbing between the metal parts of the seat spring was broken on my 18, and it felt exactly as you describe. I replaced that part myself and it made a world of difference.

Plastic webbing? Any chance you have any pictures or part numbers? I'm guessing they're different numbers for this truck, but it would give me a place to start! Thanks!

I have a 23 Platinum. Most comfortable seats I've ever sat in my 68 years. I already have 18,000 miles so I've spent enough time in it to honestly know. It's great for long trips. Just drove straight thru from Gainesville FLA. to home here in central Ohio. 12 hours. Love this truck. The 5.0 with the 3.73 is my favorite engine vehicle combo of anything I've owned, with the exception of a Lingenfelter 383 Package corvette I owned. BTW, I'm 6' 180 pounds. The size and shape of the person in the seat most likely has an effect on how the seats is perceived.

I have a 2022 Platinum and I have become convinced that when the multicontour seats got constrained in 22, that they just wrapped Lariat seats in Platinum leather trim to keep Platinum production going. Maybe marginally more comfortable because the leather is real and nicer (less stiff), but it is pretty small of a benefit over Lariat. Sitting in my neighbor's 2021 Plat with MC seats is much better, that is a significant upgrade over the Lariat seat.

Looked it up for a 22... No idea why it's so expensive, it was sub $90 when I did it on my 18.

Seats are the same, just different leather. All Ford leather seats are leather on seating surfaces and the front of the seat back… for the front seats. So, look at the larger squares of “leather” where your butt rests, and your lower back hits. That’s all the leather you get. Pull the cover off and see. The foam is the same in the Lariat and up.

Haven't spent time in a Platinum but definitely like the 10-way adjustable / heated / cooled / 'leather' bucket seat in my Lariat.

I’ve owned a 22 STX, XLT, Lariat, and platinum. I’m 6’1” and 250 lbs. I can’t tell a difference in the cushions of any of them.

I currently have the 22 plat and a 23 STX as a work truck and cannot tell the difference in the cushion.

The plastic webbing on my buddy's '18 was recently broken. I'll tip him to replace them

I have a 2022 Lariat, and I think the seats are very comfortable. I've also had many people who road in my truck say it was really comfortable.
