Thought I'd start a thread for pictures of 157" wheelbase trucks. Since I have one on order I'd like to see what other are doing with them; levels, tires.....

You guys and your short little pickups. hah ha hah
I have the long one---164"
But I had no desire for a crew at all. (=more people you may have to tote around with you)
Super was fine for me--little extra space inside----full 8ft box.
Of course these long ones (157/164) should ride nicer than the shorties.

Look forward to seeing some of the pics, I too have a 157" on order. Have had a supercab with the 6.5 box for the past 10+ years, wanted some extra room for our family in the cab, but couldn't stand the thought of a shorter box (that already seems too small at times!).

I Have the 157(long box) with a crew. If i cant put a 8 foot 2x4 in it and close the tailgate it's useless, after all it is a truck not a grocery getter.

Haha, I always bug my dad about his "grocery getter" when we are out camping.... Truck looks great!

8ft piece of lumber wont fit in that and still be able to close the gate----unless diagnal. And even that is questionable. That's only 6-1/2 foot box.

It is absolutely not questionable I do it all the time. I can get quite a few 8' studs in my truck diagonally and that is why I got the 6.5 box. I had one 5' box and it was worthless for what I use it for. Another thing I noticed is that the 6.5 box tows my 27' enclosed much better than the shorter wheelbase as well. All depends what your using it for.

I agree, the 5' bed is always a little too short. I got the 6.5 too, love it. I agree the extra length makes a difference when towing.

Hi there, I am also one of the few who has ordered the 6.5ft. box, mine is just about a fully loaded XLT
