Mind you, I haven't gotten my F-150 yet (targeted build date is Feb. 8th) but they're generally glossy black plastic, more susceptible to scratching than paint is, and so they'll need a much more gentle approach to removing those scratches. I highly recommend watching this video from Larry Kosilla:

I just did it. Griot's BOSS Correcting Cream and a microfiber rag. The surface scratches come right out.

I used 3M polishing compound on my 2016 F150 King Ranch. I'll use some type of polish on this one as needed.

Orbital buffer and a light correction paste or cream. I did my last truck and it came out damn near perfect. My 21 has them and I’ll be doing the same thing here soon. It scratches easily.

As others have said, the scratches are relatively easy to remove if you're careful but it's soft glossy plastic, they *will* come back especially if you use a contact-type car wash ? it's unfortunately just a "feature" of the truck!

I had the same glossy black plastic on my Explorer. Swirl marks all over. Good to know there is a relatively simple way to remove them!

Screen ProTech will cover the scratches in case you don't want to polish them every time swirl marks appear.
