Looks like we got official word it’s a Zone Lighting issue. Got a message from Ford.

I don't have my truck yet (due sometime in March)

:) But just now received a FordPass notification (I set up my FordPass already). Will sync it when I get truck.

*. Notification is about the Zone Lighting & that it could be the problem causing Phatom Battery drainage - and saying don't operate the zone lighting. An OTA software update coming out.

My battery went dead on Feb 10 at 300 miles. I can’t remember if I was playing with zone lighting before that happened. There are so many features that can drain these batteries. I don’t think it is one specific thing for every case.

I watched a video from Lincoln about approach detection. It specifically stated hanging the keys within 8 feet of your vehicle such as on a key rack would cause approach detection to shut off to save battery.

I tried that this week. I haven’t driven my truck in 5 days since I work at home. I popped the hood 5 days ago and started taking voltage readings. The battery has only lost .05 volts and I’ve been opening the doors at times which powers up the sync system. It’s also about 20 degrees cooler so I’d say that’s acceptable.

I have had FSA 21B08 applied last Friday.

I hope this is the smoking gun.
I hope so too. This is getting old. I put a fresh charge into the battery 2 days ago and it dropped about a volt since then. I did shut off the zone lighting from center console. Will take another battery reading tomorrow to see if it stops the drain. This is rediculous.

Since my recent battery replacement, all has been well. What I haven’t been able to do yet is to let it sit for 2 or more days without driving it.

Saw this today as well. Was about to post it but you beat me to it. Thanks for sharing with the group. Sounds like Ford is acknowledging the issue.
I just got a message on my Ford APP that they think the zone lights are draining the battery and to turn them off. They said they would push an update when it was done.

Read the manual about how to reset the one touch. Looks really easy.
Ok so I brought it to the dealer for the issue which they said it was because of the power heated mirrors and tow module needed to be re flashed so they did it and when I got my truck back all these settings that I never knew I had all started to work like when I lock the doors the mirrors fold never knew auto start stop has a hold feature again never knew and I played with every button in the truck to shut down things to stop the battery from draining to no avail there’s only one bad thing my 12” display when shutting down goes dim and stays on for 10-15 minutes and during this time it flashes very bright several times like a camera flash

Anyone have there screen staying partial on and the lighting in the back seat happening at night after you lock the truck and set the alarm.

It won't turn off all of the way ?.

I just noticed it.

I do have My tailgate is down as my truck is loaded. I don't know if that is why, but I might have a dead battery in the morning.

See the pictures. Disregard the street lights.

Having just unloaded and closed the tailgate, it made no difference. The screen and rear seat centre console lights remain on. They have been on for 20 minutes.

What rust issues are some of you talking about? Just bought a F150 Lariat for myself and XLT for my son. Hearing the word RUST is very concerning.

So the screen and rear center console lights finally shut down fully after 45 minutes of being partially on.

I just noticed that my screen and rear center console lights are staying slightly on as well, but no flashes.
