Hey guys what are you thinking for performance estimates for the Hybrid? 0-60 times and 1/4 Mile?

Just a guess, but if the 2019 Chevy 6.2 does 0-60 in 5.4 seconds and 1/4 mile in 13.9 seconds according to testing through Car and Driver, I would suggest that the Powerboost could be 5.1 , 0-60 and 13.6 1/4 mile give or take.
Thoughts?

Why do you care about 0-60 and 1/4 Mile times for a pickup? Now if we are comparing those acceleration times with a 7,500 lb trailer in tow, then yeah it's applicable. I know that's what car magazines push for metrics, but they are useless metrics for pickup trucks.

It's all about grin factor when daily driving.
Nothing wrong with having a rocket that gets 23 mpg combined!
We have seen what the Hybrid did to the Hemi with 5500 pounds in tow, I can imagine, that it will be just as big of gap when not towing.

There is a Ford Rep on YouTube who says that the Hybrid beat the Ram by 3 seconds to 60 miles per hour, pulling the 5500 pounds and also beat the chevy 6.2 by 1.2 seconds in the same test , at a test event he was at.

Either way you slice it, the performance is great by the sounds of it.

So do wish they had allowed us to option out the 3.5 HO with the Powerboost!!!
That would have been a KILLER COMBINATION for sure.

With over the air updates, maybe it's something that we can hope they will update later. ?. I am curious to what HP this Hybrid will make running Premium gas? The Limited 3.5 made the 450 HP on premium gas, but I am not familiar with the regular pump gas rating.

Here is a link to the Ford Rep on YouTube, lots of additional information he covers.

As a compare, C&D had the 2020 F-150 3.5 EcoBoost at 6.1 seconds and the 3.5 HO EcoBoost at 5.1 seconds 0-60. Both are fast for a truck but that's a big difference. Maybe the electric motor can close the gap (esp off the line) but I wouldn't expect it to be better than 5.1. 'Hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, 5.1 has to be traction limited, so it isn't likely to get better.

With a 3.73 rear end and the added 60 foot pounds of torque (over the limited HO Ecoboost 450HP 510 Torque) , could we see a sub 5 sec 0-60? That could mean a very low 13s or even better 1/4 mile. That 570 ft lbs of torque hits at 3000 rpm with 4 wheel drive engaged you could really launch it. It should be fun.

Rough 0 to 60. Looks like around 5.2 to 5.5 seconds.
