PB shifts into park on it's own.

So the other day I pulled into the drive, I was on the phone for a few minutes and forgot to put the truck into park, when I hit the start/stop button the truck shifted into park on it's own. Neat safety feature but I was wondering if this is exclusive to PB or do other F150's do this?

others do this as well. My 2018 fusion when I had it also did it. Not sure how far down or what trims.

I would assume console shift does not do that on the F-150, but those users can chime in for that.

Thanks Stealthytt, I was kind of surprised when I saw my column shifter move own it's own.

Console shift has the motorized mechanism and shifts to Park as well.

Try this:
Leave the truck running. Foot on brake. Unfasten seat belt and open the door.

Or open the door and then Unfasten your seat belt.

The Lightning does this as well. The shifter is all a drive by wire system. No real linkage of any kind.

Yep, my Lariat will do that too, I have done the exact same thing and was surprised when it did it.

Shift into Neutral.

Hit the manual button.

It'll stay in Neutral for 30 min.
