Payload vs Max Tow

The public vehicle build application is primarily to provide a probable MSRP and not to be the basis of a factory order by the dealer. Better to sit down with the person at the dealer that inputs the truck orders. They can also do a state search for a vehicle already in the production queue or on a dealer's lot for you to consider.

there is not a max tow option just a max tow axle.

the max tow axle increases GVWR to 7200 from 7100. but i looked at a 24 with the same options as my 22 the only difference was the 24 did not have max tow axle and payload was 1450 vs my 22 at 1601.

the other difference is the max tow axle gets 3 leafs and just the tow package gets 2....

I am sure the Hud takes away payload and maybe a few other options as well.

Were you building XLT's? When I tried to add it to XLT it told me I had to change to a 5'5" box.

However, I was able to add Max Tow and BAP to a 24 Lariat SuperCrew Long Box...

That could be why. Worked for me on Lariat. Maybe contact a dealer to see if you can get it on XLT Long Beds. Could be an error on the website? Not sure.
