Got the P3 analog boost gauge installed. I ordered the bare kit as opposed to having them include the vent pre-assembled. Assembly was very easy, took 20 minutes max. Total install was about 2 hours but I'm OCD about wiring/zip-tying stuff. With a 10% off coupon code I had everything for under $300 shipped. I have the SCT X4 to display other metrics when needed but I wanted something discreet to display boost full-time.

The analog version comes with the boost sensor, vacuum line and the gauge itself. I just needed to supply a t-splitter to tap into my existing vacuum line. Tapped #2 on the passengers fuse panel with a bussman fuse tap for switched power. Grounded via existing bold just above steering column. Vacuum line tapped on existing line running to my maxflow discharge coming through a puncture at the top of the steering column grommet (it has a nub provisioned for additional routing already which is great).

It starts when the truck is started (or double-key but not started mode). A handful of display options exist but I haven't messed with it much. It doesn't interfere with the vent control.

I fix software bugs!
I’ve been looking at that gizmo… Is that negative 15.0 and 14.6? Is the brightness adjustable or automatic with the truck lights or ?

Yep, it reads vacuum in inHg until positive boost is present, then kicks over to PSI. This all happens instantly though, I'll record it but here is a quick clip. This is actually my 3rd P3 gauge over the years, they are big in the euro scene and I was happy to see they support our trucks. The brightness is adjustable.

Here is an example on a Golf R where you can watch it climb out of vacuum into boost:

GripTec pulley arrived for the blower. I opted to go with 3.25" which should net an additional 1-2#s of boost down from the 3.4" pulley which came with the Vortech kit. I'm hoping I've got enough clearance to simply swap them without removing the head unit or bracketry, it looks pretty close. I'm going to get after it this weekend followed by another dyno session.

The GripTec hub and pulley itself is beautiful, the micro-etching on the belt ribs/valleys is neat, hardly visible with the eye but it almost feels like shark skin.

AgriCover Lomax in matte finish installed which I'm really digging so far, more details here if interested.

I also replaced the winglets on both sides with the lower profile stone guards ford offers. Very subtle but cleans up the rear well especially where I've got the Corsa side-exhaust. Thanks for the recco & part numbers on them @Rinn69 & @MJG44 back in that Corsa post.

Next up will be finally getting the smaller pulley on the blower, been jammed up but things are starting to clear up.

Hey folks, we've had ours for about a month now and absolutely love it. I paint corrected it a few days after brining it home then hit it with 2 coats of ceramic while shooting the undercarriage with fluid film. I then had the driver & passenger windows tint matched with the rears with a partial PPF application on the bumper, hood and leading roof edge. Grabbed some husky xact floor matts for the front & rear. End game is whipple (4th coyote build but first on the F150 platform, huge mustang fan).

I'm greatly looking forward to many adventures with my family in the truck, we cover a ton of ground traveling (hence all the protection). I had planned on a traditional leveling kit but as I get older I'm beginning to appreciate easy access for my family and I so I may end up going with a mild drop shackle in the rear vs. bumping the front up.

Thanks y'all!

-Mike

I'm with you on the leveling kit up front - my wife says it's just the right height and being seniors I have to agree- Your truck looks great

Still sitting on this smaller Griptec pulley for the blower, I decided to shift gears a bit and dial in handling and braking a tad. We've traveled quite a bit over the past few months and are heading to TX soon. I had an incident where the truck got pucker squirrely body-roll wise while avoiding a collision (pure luck basically, some folks just rolled in front of me out of stop sign) with the fam onboard so I decided to ignore the pulley and get after sus/brakes.

I opted for Baer's new Big Claw rotor upgrade package which includes a new caliper bracket to allow clearance of a monster (comparatively speaking) 15" rotor while retaining the factory caliper and OEM pad size without having to bleed or otherwise introduce air into the system. More on that here if interested. In short the quality, design precision and thoroughness of the instructions made it for a very fun install. I'm loving this kit and glad we have an option that sits between Powerstop (awesome Z series kits, great value) and full 6P caliper & rotor upgrades.

I also added an RSB which I 100% wish I would have had sitting in the shop before buying my truck, it's that transformative especially around these lovely windy KY roads. Errands can feel like a teeny tiny tail of the dragon run. Unfortunately the RSB I opted for wasn't a good value, more on that here if interested but suffice to say I'm so thrilled with the result that I'll replace the one I did get when the opportunity presents itself.

By the time we get back from TX it will be pulley drop time finally : o ). Trucks been running very strong, no hiccups or nonsense, just eager to get out there and rip.

At this point I wouldn't expect them to cover much given what we've done but man you find the right dealer, actual enthusiasts, and they get as excited about your build as you do. I think they are so used to people coming in attempting to play dumb or carry some sense of entitlement that no matter what they can fall back on "customer is always right" that when you go in and tell them you really f'd up while providing every piece of actionable information, they appreciate it and get behind you.

I'm not saying they are tossing around free trannys or motors but I am certain they are more apt to find some light at the end of the tunnel for ya' vs. looking to see precisely how they can nail you. Especially in rural areas where you see dealer owners/techs/sales members out and about in the community weekly or at least monthly.

The coyote (our 4th coyote since 2011) has been the most trouble-free motor we've ever owned by a long shot, also by far the most forgiving when it comes to extracting more power.

You hear that @Ford Motor Company, I'm going to be dropping my pulley size, hopefully I won't see you soon but if I do we gotta move quick. Gobs and gobs of whippersnapper tuned 2.7 Canyons/Colorodos acting up out there : o )

I've been slacking on the build thread updates, I opted for Belltech's rear anti-sway bar and it didn't disappoint. Writeup can be found here on it.

I also finally got around to performing a mild audio upgrade on my non-B&O system. Very happy with the results, here is that thread.

Lastly, I've been meaning to re-shoot the undercarriage with fluid film and record a video or two on the process I use. I finally got around to doing it, that post is here.
