I have been driving a Ford F250 and F350 Super Duty truck for many years now towing various size RV and commercial trailers. I am very accustomed to the use of this type of mirror. They are superior to the standard mirror on the F150s. If you ever plan to tow anything, or simply want more rear visibility in traffic, these mirrors are a great Option to invest in. They are well worth the option pricing - $250 or $275, depending upon model build.

Yeah I first got these mirrors in 2012 because they happened to be on a truck I bought. I do tow some, but mostly enclosed motorcycle trailers and such. These mirrors have spoiled me they offer so much more vision that I don’t like driving trucks that don’t have them. They are coming on my 21 order as well.

Me too!

When I drive a truck without them I don't see how people do it with such a small rear view. They really do convert you wanting them for all driving situations. They have saved me several times from making a mistake.

Only way to fly. Lol

The "standard" mirrors on my '13 were a nice compromise of the now small regular mirrors and the towing mirrors.. Guess they went smaller with them to help with wind resistance..

I'm debating the towing mirrors as well. But the config lists them as having chrome caps even with the sport package.. So we'll see how that updates on real trucks...

Yeah, I wonder if the Chrome Caps can either be removed, or replaced with body color caps. I've seen current F-250/F-350 with these mirrors in three versions, black uncapped, body color capped, and chrome capped.

Perhaps I wasn't clear, I don't want to replace the whole mirror, I just don't know how the caps are attached/installed. If pulling the chrome caps off is going to leave some unsightly mess, then I'll leave them alone. Replacement mirrors cost a fortune. If these are truly just caps, then they should come off, but I haven't seen a parts breakdown to verify that.

I was mearly suggesting that you COULD always remove the mirror and have it "Refinished" to suit your own personal desires.

on a 502A they require 360 camera option, $1015 for the set. Expensive.

B&P does show a black cap on the mirrors with sport appearance, however.
