OpenPilot on the F-150 (BlueCruise alternative)

Does anyone have a write up on the steps to get this working? I'm a long time openpilot user. Had it on several sonatas and other cars throughout its time. I know you need a comma 3x, Q4 harness, but what else? Will it drive most of the time without any major issues? XLT with adaptive cruise and lane centering.

I have a 21 F-150 (Built December 2021). Bluecruise currently active and functioning.

I'm planning to order from Comma:
- Comma 3X
- Ford Q4 harness
- Long USB-C cable
- 8 degree mount

Is there anything else I need?

is there anyway to buy this anywhere other than direct? I have about $700 worth of gift cards to about every major retailer in my workhuman corporate rewards account eating a hole in my pocket but can’t just get a visa/ mastercard with it unfortunately

try calling them and see if they'll eat them manually.
I usually just burn those at walmart or similar that easily let you break the payment into parts. $100/card is easy as it goes

Comma shop takes Amazon pay. Load up your Amazon account t with gift cards and then use them at checkout.

just looked into this and their faqs say they don’t allow it unfortunately. looks like i may need to go the gift cards for groceries and christmas presents route if i’m going to do it

Can you buy amazon e-gift cards with them and then add them to your amazon balance?

I can, but Amazon’s help section says you can’t use Amazon gift card balance on websites that take Amazon pay

Yeah, such things are fungible so doesn't really matter where it's spent. Hell go prepay $100 on the pump

I have a error in my ipma. It won't calibrate. Dealer says they might not warrant it because I had to remove the Ford cable because they couldn't read the full network last time it came in for a trailer break modual swap.
The relays won't pass the data unless I completely remove the cable and plug the trucks cable in direct.
I know I have a defective cable and will deal with comma later.
In the mean time my tech asked what the cable went to on the ipma and what did it do. If I can convince them that I didn't do any modifications then I have a chance of them warranty the ipma. I already had to replace the CMR. That's why the ipma lost the camera calibrations. It gets to 80% then stops.
Them suspecting that the comma3x caused some damage is what I'm faced with.
We all know that's not possible. I just have to have a believable explanation.

Just an idea. Can you mention some kind of beta testing on a dash camera that interfaces with the stock cameras on the truck? Say you signed an NDA and can't discuss what company it is but the general idea behind it is just a Tesla like dash cam system.
