I was bored and doing a little late night research when I discovered something rather interesting.
The Build & Price tool on Ford.com currently lists the 3.5 liter EcoBoost as producing 400 horsepower and 510 pound feet of torque.
If I remember correctly, the original/earlier estimates listed the 3.5 EcoBoost at 400 and 500 respectively. I confirmed this through a few sources.
On Ford.com, the 3.5 EcoBoost now shows the gasoline only engine as producing 510 pound feet of torque. It also mentions the Port Fuel and Direct-Injection (PFDI) update to the engine as standard equipment.
It also lists a few brief details about the turbos being “twin intercooled”. Is this different from previous years of EcoBoosted F-150s?
Anyway, as many of us continue to wait in F-150 purgatory, I figured this gift of ten little ponies might brighten the holiday for those of us who ordered the 3.5L EcoBoost on our trucks!!
