Ok, new mod! Painted door handle covers 🎨

I have the '21 STX, so it has the crummy textured black plastic handles. So I've seen the cheaper Ebay and Amazon covers, just to cover them up. I've also seen the $399 to $499, complete painted OEM cover/handles.

So I did some research, started in Jan or so, and a company called Trim Illusions makes similar stuff, but better build quality. So the '21 F150 stuff recently came out, ordered some. Their kit comes with 6 covers, two for smart key, plus regular key like mine. They come already painted and smoothed gloss black.
Arrived today, so went out to see fitment.

Man they cover almost 90-95% of what you see. They literally pop on, tight. I had to pry to get it back off!
So plan to drop them off today to get paint matched.
Be far cheaper than $399 for complete handle OEM.
Worse case, if they fall apart in a year, im out $75
Pics of them just popped on to test fit.

And even without tape, just to test fit, them suckers POP on! Had to really pry fingernail to get back off

Nice, could you run them without painting them? I realize it wouldn’t look as good for door handles, but I feel like gloss black mirror caps would look great!

Yes, love how they come already black, on average more vehicles are sold black than any other color, so a great default.
And I possibly would, but my fender badges, etc are that matte black. (plastic)

Yes sir, they have adhesion promotor and a 3M tape inside to help hold them on. But when they popped on...they were ON
Install and took off above just for pic reference.

thanks for the heads up. I was thinking I could buy these, take my stock ones off to get paint matched (star white) and install paint matched ones down the line but that idea will not work.

Yea, these are a cover, not an OEM handle.
