Looking for the end all answer from anyone who has experience. I have scoured the threads regarding 35's and alot of combinations but haven't seen specifically what I need to know. Any help is appreciated.

2023 F150 Crew, 157" FX4 - Installing 2.5" Auto Springs front leveling pads
Looking to run 305/70 - 18 KO2s on factory rims.
Will this work? I see people saying 11-11.5 is the best width and the 11s don't rub, but I really want KO2's and they only offer 35x12.5 or P metric 305/70. (34.8x12 on 9" rim)
Option 2 - Is there another recommended AT tire that has a 35x11 that would have a load range E? I tow a travel trailer which is why I want the heavier load range.

Thanks for any help and advice in advance.

There will never be an end all be all to lifts and tire combos since every truck can be slightly different, hence all lift manufacturers stating "average lift height" with their kits in the fine print. You will likely be alright if you find a combo that someone else has done and they and others state it fits, but you will also always find that 1 person who also tried the same combo and rubs and is mad at everyone else for "lying" to them. Stock front springs are soft enough that what could clear fine when driving solo will rub when driving with a full cab.

I have a 2" front lift w/ 295 70 r18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. They have some room before rubbing on the control arm. With your 2.5" lift I imagine 305's will fit no problem. BFG also just came out with the 295 70 r18 size for the KO2.

Tire brands vary in overall size, just like shoes, but in most instances you'll find that 305/70R-18's fit with factory wheels. The KO2 tends to run smaller in size when compared to some other brands, so I think you'll be in good shape.

As 411 noted, 295/70R-18 is a good option, with more selection and will bolt up and go. 285/75R-18 may be a consideration as well.

what rims are you running and offset is a more important question. Stock wheels and 2.5 level , should clear 305/70

That size won’t rub on stock rims. Plenty of guys running 12.5 wides without any issue. Here’s mine with a 2.5” and 35x11.5 Toyo MT. These aren’t close to rubbing and I have more room on this truck with this size than my previous 13 and 16. If I were you I’d roll with those.

@Majorplane That is one good looking setup! Wow!!! Thanks for posting the pictures. This is the exact setup I am wanting to run on my truck. I have a 2022 F150 Powerboost and am looking to put the Ford Performance Bilstein Level Kit set at the 2.5" height with 295X65/R20's (essentially the same as what you are running with the 35X11.5). I was worried I would have to do a lot of trimming to accommodate this size of tire but it sounds like you have plenty of room with no rub or scrub.

I have a couple of questions if you don't mind.... did you have to do a block swap on the rear springs to raise it up a bit with the 2.5" level? Secondly, did you have to replace your front control arms with aftermarkets due to the 2.5" level? I have heard guys say if you go above 2" your playing with fire keeping the stock front control arms. Any help you can offer would be much appreciated. Thanks

Thanks, and in response to your questions, no I didn’t touch the rear. Also, no issue with control arms. Like I said, I’ve been running this setup on 3 gen F150s now for 10 years and have never had any problems. Ball joints may need replacing if you really rack up the miles over the years, but it’s a cheap fix if you ever get to that point. I personally don’t worry about it and I know hundreds of guys on here and in person that don’t replace control arms with a level. Dealers don’t do it either.

Very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my questions. Excited to get the Bilsteins here and put on my truck!
