oil life after reset showing 81 percent?

Just did my first oil and filter change at 2628 miles. Used the motorcraft synthetic blend 5w30 and fl500s filter. Used the menu on steering wheel to reset and shows 81 percent after several resets still 81 percent. Is there another method of resetting. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks in advance.

Here's what page 463 of the manual says. I'm not sure that it'll help much.

I let the truck sit for a while and checked the oil level. Even though I had put in 6 qts, It was a little lower on the dipstick than normal. Added a little more oil and reset again. This time it showed 100%.
