Oh no my shifter stuck in park

Just happened to my yesterday. Finished filing up gas, started the truck, pulled the gear to drive, it automatically shifted itself back to park, then the light was blinking. Was unable to pull it back to drive so had to shut the engine off and on, and then it let me go again.

Long shot, but If you are stuck waiting - check to see if your fuses are all seated properly. Weirdness has been reported due to the fuses being loose.

Yeah no luck. I tried turning off the truck, locking it multiple times. It actually wouldn’t even start half the time. It was weird. It seemed like very Nth on/off cycle it wouldn’t turn on.

Anyway, went to the dealership on a flat bed yesterday. Was there last week for that insulator bolt recall too. Hope this is not a trend….

Update: for me above, it turns out a wire chafed and shorted out. Wasn’t the module bulletin posted above. Should be able to pick up the truck in an hour.
