back to the scout. its amazing how things come and go. I know some may hate VAG but i'm hoping they can hit this out the park. The ID.Buzz is pretty cool...though Rivian seems to be struggling right now and we all know how well the stupid cybertruck is doing. LOL

With our crumbling infrastructure and increasingly crowded roads, having a rugged vehicle is more useful than a fast one. I can rarely stretch the legs of my Coyote where I live.

Everyone's use case is different, but I've long thought a range extending hybrid was perfect for my use case. I've been eyeing the new Dodge to see how it performs in real life. I have no desire to get rid of my current truck anytime soon, but by 2027 when the Scout ships, I'll be over 250K on the powerboost. I dropped the $100 to reserve a hybrid Scout just in case it works out that I really want one by time it rolls out.

The concept is awesome. The website is a dumpster fire. The OP had far more information on the actual vehicle than me navigating all the way through the website and trying the FAQ (most of those entries are blank). I am genuinely curious and excited about series hybrids, but the website just showed my a slideshow of the vehicles at sunset.

Any product that focuses upon a big advancement in technology needs to explain that technology to potential buyers. I have a lot of knowledge about what the drivetrain might be, but even I can't parse out exactly what they are attempting to build and sell.

If they do not have some kind of ProPower setup, that is an enormously missed opportunity.

It only says the charger is two way. Useful in a power outage but not out in the woods. I'm guessing Ford has the concept of pro power heavily protected by patents.

I'm curious on performance of the gas extended version. If it can go on long road trip running solely on gas with nowhere to plug in then it will be successful.
