I'm curous too for hybrid numbers... they said 700mpg out of a tank... tank is only 30.6 gallons compared to 36 for the bigger fuel option on standard engines
That would be 23 MPG, which is not beyond amazing.

I just went into the build for a 2021 Lariat, still forces 20" wheels if you select Max Trailer Tow Package

With the numbers out now I'm curious to hear what drivetrain most people will choose, still powerboost?

I played around just now, and it only does that if you are getting the Chrome Package that comes standard with the 18" Chrome-Like PVD Wheels - which are specifically excluded in the "Not available with" section of the Max Trailer Tow Package. If you do a Sport Appearance Package instead of the Chrome Package, it allows Max Trailer Tow with the 18" wheels that come standard on the Sport Appearance Pack.

It is specifically the 18" Chrome-Like PVD Wheels that are forcing it to the 20" wheels with Max Tow.

Nothing new yet.. Keep hoping it changes like the 2020 models with some of the packages... Fingers super crossed!

I did some MPG calcs for my expectations over here https://www.f150forum.com/f129/3-5eb-vs-3-5pb-485440/

I expect the powerboost to be a small drop in highway vs what I have now. I also suspect the 700mi/30gal calc is for a 4x2 and a 4x4 can expect 22 MPG rating highway. It's city where I want some help!

I would think it would help on the hwy some for when you start going up a grade, the electric motor will assit the tranny reducing the need for additional engine power and downshifting in some cases. Would be like free boost in those situations.

But what if it gets 23 mpg city and highway? That would be pretty decent. Especially for the amount of power it has.
oh yeah if it gets 23 combined, its a game changer, but manufacturers always hype up their highway ratings

I was all set to order the PowerBoost, but with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost towing and payload numbers being so much higher, the deciding factor for me is going to be the fuel economy.

I tend to agree, if the fuel mileage numbers for the PowerBoost aren't significantly better than for the EcoBoost it may not be worth the extra up-front cost and increased system complexity for 30 HP and 70 lb-ft. I'm not as concerned about the reduced towing and payload numbers for the PowerBoost, but I'd really like to see fuel mileage numbers soon enough that I can still change my order...

Maybe THIS is what Ford knew when they predicted that only 10% of models sold would be with the Powerboost...
