So far, so good with these Elka shocks. They are not going to "blow your socks off", however the dampening is improved and more controlled over stock across the board. small hits are absorbed better and zero "bouncing" on larger bumps like big speed bumps and G-outs or highway humps.

The rears are not as controlled with big hard hits as the Fox 2.5's, but to be honest I would hope that to be the case, different price-point and level of performance for the 2.5's.

It's warming up, so I need to start to get some stuff done. I'm a little nervous to tackle the Torsen, but it needs to be done. Other than that, it's just small stuff.

Skid plates showed up today! I was able to get them mounted up and the RCI bed rack installed.

I gotta say, these skids are very well made. Only knock is that you have to remove the engine skid to change the oil, I wish they would have included access ports.

The RCI rack bolted up perfectly to my ADARAC rails. So happy as this makes install and removal super easy.

Getting things set up for some trips where it doesn’t make sense to pull the trailer.
Mounts installed so I can easy put on my 8 Gal water tank. It has a battery powered pressure washer gun and can also do gravity feed. I’m hoping we can use it for washing dishes and generally rinsing off things.
Also put on the Treeline Ponderosa. It will probably just stay on for the summer, but we will see. Hopefully we can try it out next weekend.

Planning to head out for an overnight today, I'm really looking forward to getting out of the City! Most everything is ready to load, just need to grab some groceries and wrap up some meetings for work.

I was able to test out the new set up on the trail and everything worked as expected.

Doing a last day of kindergarten/1st grade "test camp" tonight, on the homestead property, with a couple of little ones. It's to convince mom that they are ready to be away from her overnight, for beach camping this summer with Pawpaw and others.

Truth is, she's the one that ain't ready.

At least in my book they did.
The only cheat was we had breakfast tacos that were cooked in the barndominium, rather than the RV or tailgate of the truck.

Now if their mom gives the green light, we will be sleeping at Surfside tonight!
