Got my OEM 18” sport wheels painted black today by a local rim repair shop. It was cheaper than buying new wheels and I like the stock look, just wanted to black out the color. My only concern is how long and how well the finish will hold up over time. I originally wanted powder coating but this opportunity popped up so I jumped on it. The shop has an incredible reputation so I put my faith in them and hopefully it lasts. They said they do an OEM finish and most local dealers go to them to get wheel colors changed before selling. I also added Gorilla black lug nuts.

That looks great! Think I might go this route on my factory 18s. Wanting to put together a winter set with some studded Duratracs.

Looks sharp! I missed 2 opportunities on getting those stock 18s and had the same idea to get um powdercoated. I really dig the design of these stock '21 18s. Ford is behind on the rim designs but I may eventually go back this route when the novelty for the current rims I have wears off cause I vibe with this set!

Looks great. Thinking of going the same route with a local auto body shop. How are they holding up?

they’re still doing really well, no issues so far with paint durability or coating issues with about 12k miles

Looks good, Ford missed the mark not offering a all black option!
