I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think we may have been reading this schedule wrong:

Job 1 trucks are going to be built the week of 3/21, 3/28, with a “cleanup” week of 4/4.

The week of 3/21 scheduling for Job #2 trucks will begin and the earliest scheduled will be the week of 4/11.
Is there a way to know if your truck is job 1 or 2? What’s a clean up week? I have a production week of 3/28.

The way I’m interpreting the scheduling, if you have a VIN and build week right now, you’re Job #1.

I ordered on 2/12/22. My order states job #2.

Its not RAM is somehow better at getting chips. Its a crap shoot on what is available and when. The chips RAM uses happen to be available now. Dumb luck. Can change at any time

We had zero issues getting our products built. Until last week. None. Nada. Sorry, no chips. Now our lead times went from 2 days to 6 months. Overnight.

Maybe american companies will stop relying on foreign parts and source local.

Took awhile, but bit them in the ass finally.

Those chip plants in Ohio cant be built fast enough.
Problem is that it takes 2-4 years for a new chip foundry to come fully online. New ones are being built in NY, OH, and other locations around the US. We just should have continued building (and incentivizing) new facilities here over the last 20 years instead of letting US companies build overseas.

Can any explain the significance of Job 1 and Job 2?

My order states Job #2 order.

Placed order on 2/12/22
I also ordered 2/12/22 and am listed as Job #2.

My understanding was that Job #2 meant they were making minor changes to the assembly process/parts used/etc. An example I saw was a few years ago for Super Duty trucks with the 6.7, trucks built with Job #2 had a different firmware/tune on the PCM that gave more torque from the factory compared to Job #1.

I think we would need someone from Ford engineering to tell us exactly what the differences were between Job #1 and Job #2 on 2022 F-150s.

Certainly possible, but I would be surprised if the bean counters allowed that, unless there’s another price hike to go with it.

No. the dealer was forced to re order cause my 2021 didn’t get built. So the clock is ticking. 14 days away from 1 year. And still no window sticker.
