Has anyone purchased the nitto ridge grapplers OR Toyo AT3 tires for their truck in the STOCK size?

Did they affect your mileage?
Noisy?
Weight?
Any feedback would be much appreciated. I wanna level the truck and keep stock tire size to preserve MPG for the most part.

I put 295/60 ridge grapplers on my 3.5 eco and only lost 2 mpg. If you keep the stock size, it shouldn't change at all or at the most you might lose 0.5 mpg.

I put the same ones on my 3.5 and it murdered the MPG lol

Just remember size does affect MPG, but not nearly as much as tire weight. Most guys don't realize that they are replacing stock 39 pound tires with large E-range 69 pound tires. That's what really kills MPG.

Yeh I talked to discount tire about BFG KO2 vs AtIII vs Ridge Grappler. 285/60/20 though.

33x10.8 vs 33.5x11.2 (But Toyo says 11.5 wide? BFG says 11.0? so need to check mfg too ugh)
He said KO2 only come in E which is 10 ply, stronger and heavier. Stiffer sidewall? Which I want.
61lbs vs 56 lbs. KO2 v ATIII
But ATIII is 3 ply polyester or something but can get in E rated 10ply?

Also looking at Toyo Open Country R/T and Nitto Terra and Recon grappler.
Too many choices. LOL
Also some specs change as you get into larger sizes. More confusion.

While you didn't ask about these specifically, the new Recon Grapplers look very interesting.
I agree, I read an article about it and watch a couple of videos online. There's a post regarding the difference between the Nitto Ridge Grappler and the Recon model. I have to wait for more reviews though before getting a set.

Went to Discount yesterday, looked at sample of KO2 and Ridge Grappler. No ATIII at time. Odd sizes but wanted to see in person, compare sidewall n tread pattern, ask questions.
Both have 3 peak snow rating. Both are E rated? 10 ply+-?
Sales guy had Ridge on his old Tundra. Swears his old BFGs spun up in wet but Ridge handles wet way better. He ran less blocky sidewall out.
Called 4Wheelparts too. They said Recon grappler good for F250 and up but manager had on F150 and didn't like them at all. F rated so too much for 1/2 ton trucks?
The 4WP sales guy swears by Toyo AtIII or BFG KO2, doesnt think Ridge grappler is same quality? Both cost like $1800 mounted balanced and protection. Cheaper at discount for road hazard rotations etc. But 4WheelParts said cover almost everything like on and off road and side wall damage too.
I like BFG sidewall, more subtle, less Mud looking, but love RG tread blocks, more aggressive. Look different in person and different on an actual truck. LOL
I think RG is softer compound than BFG too.
Need to see an ATIII next. Might be the perfect balance.
Dang RG does look like a bad ass Mud tire but this sample was a freakin huge 35 I think.
Edit: more info. ATIII may come in P and E ratings? The LT version has bigger side lugs ?
Have to see this to believe it. Guessing LT is E rated heavier? Prob what we need and dependent on size?

More field research at 4 Wheel Parts today. lol
All 20" come with RBL 18" have some in RWL. (White lettering.)
Like the beefy shoulder/sidewall of KO2 but ATIII are pretty nice, just not full coverage to protect sidewall. FIt n finish looks better on KO2 close up to me.
Both tread patterns nice, I like the ATIII better than I thought.
ATIII out of stock with no dates when avail.
Both 285/65/18 samples in pics to compare.

I'm running the Ridge Grapplers on my RAM 1500 but will be putting the ATIII on my F150. The RG looks awesome but no good in the snow and are heavy.

I see one in person and I'm like, bad ass, put that one on my truck right now.
Then I see the next one...drool...indecision...
The parking lot and bays were great too at least a dozen trucks, all kinds of tires, lifts, etc...drools more....

My vote is always ATIII (used to be ATII) mileage will depend more on ply/weight rating.

But the overall ride and handling of the ATIII wins in my book. When someone really wants a mud tire is when I talk ridge grappler because of the more aggressive look, but in my opinion Toyo did a great job on the ATIII in all categories.

Love my AT3 on my 2021 Powerboost (295/60R20's). Super quiet and smooth AT. The AT3 is just a touch louder than the stock Hankooks. As for fuel mileage, I expected a loss, especially going with a larger/wider 34" tire and leveling kit. Roughly lost about 1 liter/100km with the larger 34" Toyo AT3's and 2" Pacbrake level kit.
