Is this considered the more aggressive Recon sidewall, or is the other about the same, just different pattern. I saw that they have different sidewall on each side.

I think this is considered the more aggressive side. I actually wanted them mounted the other side out but the dealer did it wrong. I flew into town that day to pick up my truck and they didn’t have time to get them changed.

It looks good. I'm trying to decide which side I want out. Will be going with 275/65/20 on my platinum.

Yes that is the more aggressive pattern. It looks good on your truck.

I'm trying to decide between these and Baja Boss A/Ts as well. I don't tow heavy so I'm looking for the "SL" rated tires for the lighter weight.

Per Nitto website
https://www.nittotire.com/light-truck-tires/recon-grappler-all-terrain-light-truck-tire/
Recon Grapplers 275/65R20 (116T)
34.09" diameter
10.98" width
47.53 #s

Recon Grapplers 275/60R20 "XL" (116S)
32.99" diameter
10.98" width
46.97 #s

Per Mickey Thompson website
https://www.mickeythompsontires.com/light-truck-tires/baja-boss-a-t
Baja Boss AT 275/60R20 (NOT 275/65) "STD" (115T)
33.4"
10.80" diameter
47 #s

So the diameter of the 275/60R20 Baja Boss are between the 275/60R20 and 275/65R20 Recon Graps and very close in weight.

I tend to over-analyze but it's a tough choice. I also like the Toyo AT3s and they are 42#s in the factory size 275/60R20 at 32.99" diameter.

I just went through this myself and ended up with the Recons. I talked to a guy with the Baja Boss on a 22 Ram and he loved them. They looked amazing but were out of my budget. I think the extra height comes from height of the tread blocks. It also appears wider because of the sidebiters.

Here is the other side for comparison:

Thanks! Tough choice. Both look good. I actually think I like this look for my white platinum on stock BAP rims.

Assuming you have 20” wheels, did you go with the 275/60 or 275/65 recons?

LT 275/65. The weird thing is that even though it’s an E rated LT, it still only has a 2 ply sidewall.
