In terms of potential “issues” my truck my have, here’s my order of concern.

1. Axle bolt shearing under load with catastrophic consequences
2. B&O sound system suddenly deciding I should be deaf
3. Some other potential issue that could cause bodily harm to myself or others

104. My running lights possibly flicking at all the people who insist on driving around with there brights on all the time even when there’s street lamps

Just received the official notice of recall from Ford in mail today. No software fix until January 2023.

I have not received that yet nor do I see it flickering - maybe it's because I just got my truck. Only recall I have at the moment is the Integrated Trailer Relay Module that needs to be reprogrammed.

Will definitely keep this in mind.

I was curious about that as well. I have mine at 100% and have never had a flicker issue, but then again it's not in the range of the recall.
well shoot i may end up bumping mine from 75% up to 100% then if you haven’t experienced any issues yet.. knock on wood*

Someone correct me if im wrong, but I throught I read in the release that of the 70k F150's included in the recall, as of now, only 1% were actually having the issue. That might be why most of us who have the recall haven't noticed anything.

Also, I'm with @JohnMcClane I'm more concerned with the B&O unleashed trying to kill me again than with a flickering light.

Got mine in the mail too. My truck was built in mid April for those who are curious.

I received the paper recall notice in the mail today. It references Jan 2023 as the expected date they will have a solution in place. (My build date was July 2022)

I received the recall notice today, and I believe I have seen the flicker but only once.

I hope it’s an OTA update, would be lame to have to take it to the dealer for an update when these trucks have the big brother over the air capability!

Because of this recall, my dealer would not let me have my truck. Build 7/22/22 just arrived in the dealership 11/01/22. The dealer tells me that they cannot deliver it to me until there is a resolution from Ford. Software update "should" be ready Jan 23. I ordered my truck 11/15/21. Already waited for a year, and am pissed that I have to wait more. The recall mentions that they have to reprogram or replace the module. If they don't have software, why don't they just replace the part? Any idea how I can accelerate me delivery?

Because of this recall, my dealer would not let me have my truck.
Federal law prohibits sale of a new vehicle with any open NHTSA recall. The dealer has no choice.

The software needs to be available to install on new hardware. You would be replacing the module with the same recalled code.

My truck was clearly flickering today. 20 degree weather. Left front was flashing like it had hazards on for 5 seconds, then went away

Build date 7/27/22. Dearborn. I dunno how accurate that is because I didn’t get a built email until 8/7. Hopefully mine was built late enough in the window to not be effected. Haven’t noticed anything yet.
My build date was 06/21/22 at Dearborn and I have no open recalls, I'm guessing you are good since you were after me.
