No flicker recall for mine. Build date 1/12/22.

Vehicles may exhibit a park lamp flickering that does not meet the steady burning requirement of FMVSS 108.
2022-2022 Ford F150
Production Dates : MAR 11, 2022 - JUL 23, 2022
77,804 F150 vehicles are affected.

Description of the Defect : Parking lamp flickering may occur during any of the three following scenarios.
1: When the customer manually selects the “position lamp on” mode.
2: When the customer manually selects “Headlamp On” Mode.
3: When the customer is driving in automatic headlamp mode, and the environment gets dark enough to trigger “Night Mode”, which turns on the headlamp and parking lamp function.

The frequency of operation of the LED driver module is currently 200Hz. At 200Hz, the lamp is susceptible to flickering due to insufficient capacitance on the capacitor when operating between 2.95 and 3.14 volts and the lamp has LED string voltage greater than 12.5 volts.

The remedy component is an LED driver module (NC5A-13B626-FB) with updated software. The software update increases the frequency of operation of the LED driver module from 200Hz to 400Hz. The lamp is susceptible to flickering due to insufficient capacitance at the 200 Hz voltage on the capacitor when operating between 2.95 and 3.14 volts and a lamp with LED string voltage greater than 12.5 volts. Increasing the frequency of operation to 400HZ reduces the required capacitance more than 50%. This allows the lamp to operate without flickering.

interesting.. i personally haven’t seen this problem occur on my truck yet. I’m curious to know what it looks like.

If you have ever seen a car turning in front of you with cheap LED lights, that flicker effect they do out of the corner of your eye? That's pretty much what happens with the F150 with the 200 Hz coding.

Probably the most in-depth answer ever on here, lol!

Now can you tell me how to keep my bathroom vanity lights from flickering while my washing machine is running? lol

Lol. Give it my best shot.

I'm guessing you have LED bulbs in the vanity. If so, then may be due to the brand of bulb. Cheap off brand LED bulbs have crappy capacitors in them. The washer is probably tied to the same circuit as the vanity. The increased draw or noise feeding back in the lines is causing it. Try higher quality bulbs, or fixture. If it's an AC/DC fixture, try installing a higher quality power supply or LED driver.

LOL, yea I believe it is just crappy/cheap bulbs. I replaced them recently to get a higher color temp and it started right away. They will flicker pretty much anytime my washing machine "agitator" changes direction. The washing machine is literally on it's own circuit, which is weird. I am sure everyone on the forum is liking this thread, lol.

lol yeah.

Sounds like combo of line noise from the washer and cheap bulbs to me. Had a similar issue with the off brand walmart bulbs and the deep freeze. Went to GE bulbs and have not had an issue since.

was going to say...cheap LEDs cant handle even the slightest variance in voltage and when there is voltage fluctuations, it'll show through the cheap LED's. 100% right it usually occurs when said bulbs are on a circuit being used by something that tends to pull some draw (washer, microwave, fridge compressor) electrician or smart? haha

My order to delivery was almost 9 months. 5 months to build (built date was in June) and then sat 3.5 months in a railyard 2.5 hrs away from my dealership. Believe this is the reason my truck and lots of others that had similar delays to mine. Good to finally know the specifics.

Yep, I have seen this issue while my truck was running and I was standing in front of it.

On a side note.. i wonder if this would fix the LED DRL flickering issue for those who had turned the brightness all the way up to 100%.
