Yeah, such is buying new and niche variants.
Does anyone know how much weight the 7.2 kw generator adds? I am at 1428 on SCREW, 6.5’, XLT, 302A based on an actual payload sticker from a very similar truck to the one I am building. The file Cobraman provided does not have weight for the 7.2kw generator. I am also going to lose 100lbs due to the equalizer WDH. I am losing payload fast.
+11.69lbs, but I've also seen it as only +5.6. The 2.4kW unit is showing as unavailable right now but the 7.2kW is available per parts.ford.com

Planning to order new SCREW, 4x4, 7.2kw, XLT, 6.5’ bed, but I will be towing a yet to be purchased travel trailer. The payload discussion has me very concerned and I cannot find any summary of option package weights or what to expect, besides something around 1500 pounds or less. Very angry at Ford for removing HDPP from XLT. Makes no damn sense, since many who buy POwerboost with 7.2kw will likely tow. Target wet trailer weight is around 8K.

options I would like:
302A
Bed Utility package (getting old and need easy access to bed)
Max Tow
360 camera

anyone have a similarly optioned truck that can provide Payload, if something is missing or extra on your truck please let me know.

I do not want the XL. My wife wants the heated seats, exterior key pad and other features that are not available on XL.
Thanks.
I will try to attach my window sticker. I ordered a new 2022 Power Boost, XLT 302A. Knowing the payload capacity limitations of the PB's, I tried to be very judicious with the options I ordered.

I ended up with a PB with 7.2 Kw generator that has a payload capacity of 1645#.

The trailer I tow has a max GVWR of 6,000#. The CAT scaled weight is 5,660#.

Correct, but when talking about a PB, every # counts.
24 lbs is 1.5% of a 1500 lb payload. One of the biggest number of threads and chatter about a single available option is whether to go or not go for max tow vs trailer tow. And the biggest argument about not going with max tow is that there is a reduction in payload. It is only 1.5% overall. That is miniscule when the safety factor in the stickers is well beyond than 1.5%. The argument should be more about the $ cost than the weight hit in my opinion.

Thanks Atlee. Any specific reason you went with trailer tow vs Max Trailer Tow package? Of course there is a 11-12lb weight penalty, but you do get some equipment upgrades with it.

@UGADawg96 -I saw your post. Thanks. Just for piece of mind, I think I will get Max Tow.

For clarity - the max payload only includes one (1) 150lb driver, no other passengers, correct?

I think someone else can confirm, but I thought the 150lb driver spec was for the towing number, not the payload number.

IMO, Max Tow did not add enough to justify either the added cost or the added weight.

If I could have found enough added value, I would have selected the Max Tow.

The reason I ask is I saw a comment in one of the Ford documents about allowing for the number of passengers equal to the number of seatbelts.. But, since Payload is straight math (GVWR -curb weight), I don’t see how payload allow for any driver/passenger.

I am just wanting to make sure I take everything into consideration while doing calculations.

As I've mentioned, I was never able to find enough difference between the two tow packages for a Power Boost to justify the extra cost, or weight for that matter.

If someone has a definitive list of upgrades between the regular Tow pkg and the MaxTow pkg, I'd love to see it. Can't help me now, but at least I'd know what I missed.

From what I have found, 3.55 locking rear, integrated trailer brake controller, upgraded rear bumper (whatever that means) and the larger fuel tank does not apply to Powerboost.

so, mostly the first two items in the PB.
