New Member - 2025 XL 5.0 4x4 RCSB & 2015 Focus ST

Hey guys, bought a new '25 RCSB yesterday with the only options being 4x4 and a 5.0! It's my first brand-new vehicle ever at 22 years old, and I can't believe it. It's a huge milestone along with getting my own place in January of this year, and thus far I'm in love with the truck.

Long term goals are a street-truck build to ship the turbo-kits I sell for Focus STs as a lifted truck, hell even a stock height truck these days doesn't suit how often I'll be filling the bed full to ship parts. Will probably do a simple 3/5 drop, maybe an MBRP side exit depending on the volume of it. If not, I'll have a local exhaust shop fab me something with a valvetronic muffler so I can make sure I'm not too obnoxious / drone-ridden on long trips to pick up car parts. I'm also lame with this truck at the current moment as I intend to keep the drivetrain warranty with my dealer til 72k. My Focus is enough problems, so I want to keep this thing problem free or at least make it not my problem.

Lastly, here's my turd of a Focus. It's got all the bolt ons, a tucked engine harness, a built transmission, BC Racing DS coilovers, and I autocross it as often as I can.

CONGRATULATIONS! Nice truck! I have a 2021 rcsb FX4. Its been trouble free so far at 28,000 miles. Keep up the good work

Welcome and congrats on the purchase! The RCSB and 5.0 are a popular street truck combo so you'll find lots of build ideas here and elsewhere.

Very clean Focus. I used to autox my Mustang years ago and I'd love to get back into it. It's in desperate need of some suspension upgrades though, lol.

Not wasting any time modding. Improved Racing has got me setting up a catch can kit for these 5.0 trucks, measuring lines and making sure everything fits A1

The 2.7 and 3.5 trucks already have the lines measured out and ready to install, but since I've been working with them for my Focus ST purge valves they trusted me enough to get the lines ready for you guys to have a plug and play kit. Definitely excited to get this in!

So, I haven't posted about this nor taken pics, but I have since added spray-in bedliner (using FordPass points from buying the truck) and PPF'd the whole front end of the truck + rocker panels.

Improved Racing sent me some stuff to get a 5.0 Catch Can kit ready for the truck, and turns out they changed the ground stud mounting locations from either the 5.0 to the Ecoboosts, or between the years in general. I used the mount they have for the 2.7 kit on the passenger side, and modded it to fit as shown below:

And I got a little over zealous with making the lines... not really happy with how they turned out as I was trying to minimize hose usage (which I can still do a better job at), but I will be redoing them to minimize hose usage, and a second set of lines just to look nice and pretty.

Oh, and an MBRP exhaust is going on today.
