I have been wanting to change to LEDs and eventually found these. Big step to a more customized truck. GoRecon. Didn’t know they did a sequence. Install was easy too.

This is pretty funny, I was going to make a post asking if anyone had these when I saw them earlier today.

Does anyone have experience with Recon products? Is it pretty good?

I have decided it would be wise to at least wait until my ESP expires to replace the taillights.

Can we get video of the sequence?

I don't understand aftermarket lights using tiny high mounted reverse lights. The lights themselves look great but can you see to back up?

So far so good. The reverse lights were actually pretty decent.

I do intend to get Morimotos reverse light plate though. So regardless it wont be a problem.

Can you speak to how the BLIS works with these? Do you pull the existing BLIS module out and mount it in these new ones?

Like the look. Especially on the side of the truck where it breaks up and starts again. Good look mate

Yes I had to swap the module is all , it screws out with t20 torx tool , put it back in and it works well. I actually had that concern too but it works just the same.

Looks nice. Just hope they last for you. Most aftermarket LED retrofits seem to fail far quicker than OEM. I put Morimoto LED headlight main & high beam bulbs (the ones with the mini-fans) in my 2018 STX. The improvement was noticeable but had various dark spots due to the reflector pattern but I was able to "fill" those spots with a pair of LED fog light replacements that were no-name Amazon units. I used "Bambi" mode in Forscan to enable the fogs on all the time.
I had to replace the Main beam bulbs twice over a 1 1/2 year period due to failiure. That's 4 failures. But to Morimoto's credit, they did replace them. Still, it was a PITA to swap back & forth to stock bulbs and back when the replacements came in.
The Amazon fogs never gave me any issues though. I think the mini-fan was not robust enough to cool them. P
I swapped in Sylvania Zevo LED bulbs in my previous STX's tail lights and they worked great. I swapped them over to my current XLT's and they are all still working perfectly. Used Forscan to set the tail lights to "LED" to prevent the dash signals from hyperflashing. They are at least 5 years old and still working perfectly.

They look really nice, but was never a fan of the startup sequence on aftermarket lights. If there was a way to disable that I would be interested in getting a set of them.
