That's a mock up for the F-150 lightning, which has already been changed for the final product. Not for the gas F-150, and won't be there at all in production anyway.

I agree. For a 'truck' those light grey components will be a disaster to maintain. Although, I wouldn't doubt they're planning that these trucks will never/rarely be on a jobsite or a two track.

I will say that I do like the vertical screen panel on the center console.
