New 6.8L Engine Coming For F-150 in 2022!

I highly doubt that this is true especially for the F150 and Mustang but I can see such an engine for the SD.

Totally counterproductive for Ford not to mention the CAFE ramifications.

I really don’t understand why people would want old engine technology in a new vehicle.

Agreed - even as a replacement for the capable 6.2 L (Boss) base mill for superduties it makes no sense as people are generally buying the oil burner or godzilla for towing except for base XL work trucks.

I dont think it will be a replacement for the 6.2L as then they need two blocks. Aluminum can't take heavy duty heat.

Be a torquey beast. A 6.8 works in Mustang and F150. Cheaper to build. More compact, not as long.... fun to speculate.
