Had fun working on my truck this weekend. I ended up getting a PPE transmission pan for Christmas along with a Ford Performance diff cover for my 2021 F150 5.0L Rocky Ridge K2. I used a LubeLocker gasket with the diff cover, very simple install. One detail though, if you use this or the Spicer diff cover (same thing except for logo's) use the factory bolts. The ones that come with the covers are real weak.

For the PPE pan you need to unbolt the trans from transmission mount for the 5.0L and lift it about an inch to get the old pan out. I ended up buying and using a new Ford gasket just in case my original was damaged. I also added a new filter and seal since the pan was off. Turned out good.

No I didn't take any pics with the cover off. However, I did siphon out as much trans fluid as I could before I took the plastic pan off, didn't get the transmission shower. LOL

I do have a pic of the old pan...

Been thinking of getting that trans pan along with a real dipstick and tube.
Will probably do this right at 50k along with a drain & fill with filter.
The 21 is my first auto trans truck and I think I want to keep it working.

TJ on the right side of the pan where it drops down is it possible to drill a hole to drain the existing fluid out? Or are there transmission components right there? I'm also going to install that same PPE pan and want to avoid the shower as well.

I just stuck in clear vinyl tubing through the full hole and syphoned as much out as I could. This worked for me.
