Now I need to make my Nav and cards work, if y one can chime in. I changed this line to match my brothers as well no luc

7D0-01-040004880060C8

Previously I had 02E4 8800 60AA
The first two digits in the first hextet should be 02 as this is what tells the APIM that NAV is enabled.
From forscan spredsheet. Note: they left out the leading zero on the spreadsheet

The second hextet is fine at 8800

The first two digits of the third hextet are good. The last two digits are the check digits so you will get an error in Forscan stating this. I have a checksum calculator somewhere. I'll need to look for it.

You may also need to change 7D0-02-02 to tell the APIM that the GPS from the TCU is not present.

My register is set to 4200 00D8 00F5

You should have the NAV card on your screen, but No GPS will be displayed if you have the APIM set to get the GPS from the TCU.

I hope this helps.

If you plan on actually trying to navigate, I suggest you look at 7D0-05-01, 4th digit 1st column.

Yes, sorry should’ve stated that first. My truck is an 22 XL single cab, did the 12” screen and what I think is a Nav apim not sure what the apim came out of. I also did the 12” cluster and ACM.

I still don’t know what the splitter I bought is for.

The splitter is only needed if you change the APIM to nav and add back XM,. it connects behind the glove box and splits the antenna signal to both of those. if you didnt do nav you dont need it.

got it. Thanks. Do you think you need to leave the other antenna in the headliner as OP suggested?

It will avoid the tcu Dtc I did not do it. FordPass works just fine.

Okay well that’s an important bit to know. As has been stated many times on this site you can’t just throw this stuff together like on the previous gen trucks.

Yes you need a female to female connection from the ACM to glove box. I would think you could get by with someone about 12" at minimum. What you show in the photos is plenty long enough.
In regards to that splitter, does that just instal to the ACM then to the glove box?

also regarding TCU issues withoriginal antenna what’s the correct oem way to replace? I don’t see any other antenna options from ford parts.
If I have the Sirius and factory cell antenna now installed why would the tcu throw a code since there are only 2 OEM options for Right side roof antenna?

I keep pulling this data from the OEM Ford as bill decoder because that works for me. Is Vin I pulled with the screenshot below is from a XLT with navigation. Try the bottom below hex code. See if that works.

Yes.

The "correct" way is outlined in the first post along with an alternate method. In non-nav trucks, the TCU receives location data directly from the antenna. On nav equipped trucks it routes through the APIM.
