Oy, I dunno about that. Won't work with stock unmodified exhaust or spare tire. In the long run it would probably be a good idea, as if I get even halfway serious with it I'd need better shocks anyway.
you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelette!

That is very true, and my "rules" about which eggs I'm willing to crack will most likely change as things progress.

Forgive me if this has already been answered but are you running those times naturally aspired using the stock Ford exhaust manifolds?

Edit: I just went through this entire thread and didn’t see that you have changed out the stock exhaust manifolds yet. Correct me if I’m wrong however, that’s impressive if you still run the stock manifolds.

Totally, I get that. I could drop a few pounds if I took the side exit pipe off but then it’s unbearable to

That is correct! No power adders here. I haven’t felt the need to switch just yet because it keeps getting quicker.

I guess this proves that the stock manifolds are not a weak link in the engines ability to make power like some other manufacturers manifolds that usually are.

It would be interesting to see if and how much it picked up switching to headers at this point. I agree though, running 11's on the motor through unported stock manifolds is very impressive. I wouldn't have believed it possible were you not doing it.

Haven’t done much lately. Switched to Fox 2.0 shocks, in February, and added an extender to tame some of the seesaw antics.

Didn’t work. 🤣 It does ride better overall but rcsb is gonna rcsb. Speaking of ride quality, toss a Coyote in the bed? Rides amazing.

On top of that, I’m adding some STX wheels for daily duty and having Toyo Proxes ST3 295/45r20 installed tomorrow.

Other than that, I’m installing leather seat covers tomorrow.

Ahh-yeah, those STX wheels look the part and give that truck a great look. Where did you get those leather skins. Details man, we love details because we’re truck people! 😁

Love your build thread because you get results doing things like old school hot rob builders used to using their ingenuity and limited resources.

Freshly installed seat cover vs one that sat in the sun for 40-50 minutes. Make a note of this if anyone decides to do this. Helps get the wrinkles out.

Yeah, just treat the seats in your favorite leather conditioner and just leave them be. Nothing special needed to get the covers back to life, just treat and leave the truck in the sun + time will bring them back.

I've always used meguiars cleaner/conditioner but any will do. Kinda tricky to use any product in a manner so as to not have it collect in the holes. Put it on microfiber and work it into it before going to the seat material. Dab at it, etc....
